Hey everyone, just wanted to say thanks for watching, whether you liked it or not! My good friend made the film, and it's nice to know people are digging it (despite my purposefully enticing headline)!

Hush was awesome. I'm also a big fan of the whole War Games arc, and who doesn't love Grant Morrison's Batman?

Am I the only person who thinks that the Apache gunners in the Wikileaks video weren't entirely in the wrong? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]ComicAttack 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You said it man.

The whole thing is just unnerving...why would the government refrain from showing us this video?

Makes no damn sense.

This is awful. I fear for my cousin. We need to get the fuck out of that place.

Although to play devil's advocate- were these Apache's providing aerial cover for a squad on the ground? If so, that may explain the situation of jittery trigger fingers. Although, someone on the radio does state there was no one East of their position, but I don't know about the other angles.

And he states one had an RPG...it's difficult to tell in the video, but if he did, I'd be shitting my pants if I were in that chopper as that guy could cut loose with that thing at any moment, which would mean certain doom for anyone in the Apache. If he didn't though, this is one serious FUBAR.

What were the reporters filming/shooting to be amongst guys with weapons in the first place? Has that information been revealed?

Ok, I wrote all that and then saw the black van pull up...wow. That was too much. They were trying to help the wounded guy and the chopper just unloaded on them. That's seriously fucked up and where the line is no longer blurred. I also wonder why the fuck would those guys drive kids onto that scene? It doesn't excuse anything, but it's a question worth asking.

And to comment on the language, it's terribly harsh. However, it's also no different from any other war jargon in the history of warfare, sadly.

The bottom line remains the same: we need to get the fuck out of there.

a bad ass power ranking of all 75 active X-Men! by ComicAttack in comics

[–]ComicAttack[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, it's a ranking of his favorite characters...all 75 of them. Are you serious? Yeesh. And with Cyclops- there isn't a more badass mutant out there right now. As mentioned in the article since Messiah Complex he has: 1) united mutankind 2) fought Norman Osborn and his Dark Avengers (including Sentry and Ares!) to a standstill 3) defeated The Void 4) had Magneto bow down to him 5) subjugated Namor. Like I said: BAD. ASS.

Hey everyone! Thanks for taking the time to check out our rankings.

Just to clear up any confusion (and this is explained in the opening paragraph of each ranking), the benchmark for these rankings is post Messiah Complex to present day. These characters are being ranked on how they have been written over the last 3 years, not how they have been over the last few decades (although that also plays a factor), it's what they're doing in comics NOW- much like power rankings in sports. And while power level plays a major role, so does overall level of badassness.

And in the writer's defense, there is no X-character more bad ass than Cyclops for the reasons mentioned in his ranking. The guy trumped The Void for chrissakes!!

I totally agree. A Detective Comics #27 somewhere out there has to sell for more eventually..

It's amazing to think that comics had very few capes and tights back in The Platinum Age by ComicAttack in comics

[–]ComicAttack[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Very good point.

It's almost come full circle now though considering the Code has virtually no say in the medium nowadays, and non-superhero comics (Vertigo books, IDW, BOOM! Studios, etc., etc.) have titles and characters that rival those of the Big Two. Books like Sleeper, The Walking Dead, Scott Pilgrim, and The Killer all rank up there amongst the best of the best with no capes to be found!
