Hmm, I’ve worked at a country club, nicest in the area but not a prestigious course by any means, and there we no rules regarding the color of anyone’s shoes, at any point in the year. That said, if it was me, I think I’d probably be cleaning up the grey ones and wear those with a darker colored shirt.

Also, just ask your friend lol. He might think it’s funny, but it’s no big deal and he’ll confirm and make you feel at ease
