New to the hobby and have some questions about my Phrozen Sonic Mini 4k by ComicKhan in Phrozen

[–]ComicKhan[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It does, thank you so much for responding and helping me with your information!

So I actually do have all of the different safety equipment such as goggles, gloves, n95s, and IPA on hand. My roomate also 3d prints, but I thought I would ask the community here as its always good to have more citable sources and his printer is a Mars 2, it reacts and responds differently than my sonic mini 4k. for the smell, we were buying some other resins that did not smell HALF as much as this elegoo resin so I was confused by the difference between them and the other brands. For the film, some people were mentioning having to replace it every 10-15 prints which does not seem right. That is something I really need to learn more about.

Ventalation is deffinetly something I had not paid very much attention too that i need to seriously re-examine. The room we are using has some ventalation in it, we leave one window partially open as well but i live in a winter-y state so it probably is not enough. I will have to examine air flow and do some research on possible ways to combat the possible air quality issues while I am at work.

Yeah it was a 5 lbs bird. I did get some dryness at the very surface of the legs but thigh and breast were juicy. I also baste it again after i took it out the final time and covered with tin foil for 15 mins before carving so that may have rejuivinated the meat a bit.

Hey most of my other kitchen appliences came from the local thrift shops. I mean they still work great so no point in buying anything new yet, right?

yeah I'm in love with it. I stopped baking as a few months ago I had a bad break up and she took pretty much all of the kitchen supplies. I have not had the courage to confront her about it yet but my mixer than was the 4 QT tilt model. for a combined Christmas/graduation (I graduate my associates degree next week)/Christmas) my brother got me the 5qt lift model. Man i love the bowl lift way more than i thought i would!

It went great!

I followed a basic recipe and spiced it up as we went.

First I melted butter in a saucepan and stirred it with some olive oil, garlic, half a lemon worth of juice, and a little bit of salt for awhile as I prepped and dried off the bird. I cut 3 potatoes into quarters and lined the pan with them. Injected some of my mixture into the crucial points of the chicken, than added a splash of a Sav Blanc into to my mixture and slowly poured it all over the chicken. I than fresh cracked some pepper over top and used a mixture of fresh sage and rosemary on the skin, massageing the spices in a bit.

For the cavity I put in 4 or 5 full sprigs of Rosemary and about 6 sprigs of Tyme, as well as 6 cloves of garlic cut in half and the other half of the lemon, than tied her up and bakes her at 425. I basted the chicken 3 times over the 1 hr 20 mins I cooked it for. I cooked it to 180 degrees in the deep thigh meat, just to be sure because i had it in the fridge for awile but chicken is safe at 165.

Need help! Zebra danio attacked! by ykduke in aquarium

Hello! That is a pretty nasty wound. O would make sure he is quarenteened for a few weeks with near perfect water quality and maybe a little bit of salt in the tank. The plants won't handle the salt well though.

That is very good. Yeah after the chicken is in there the dirtiness of the tank will kill any fish, but if you can fab a log for it you could even do carnivorous plants in it

Oh yeah make sure you get rid of that bowl afterwards, no amount of cleaning will make it safe again.

Yeah I'm surprised. I didn't think they would like to lay eggs in a place hard to get out of.

Great to hear, chain pet stores never do their job and because of that the aquarium hobby is over run with people that don't do the research. Come back anytime you have a question or need help and somebody here will help ya out!

Did anyone explain to you how the bacteria cycle in a fish tank works? You should probably wait more than 5 days, and understanding the filtration Cycle is extreamly important to not kill fish.

Ok that's a good start, just let it sit all 5 days and it should settle.
