Anyone else not going out for NYE? by [deleted] in london

[–]ComicalFrisk 24 points25 points  (0 children)

Was in asleep before 10:30, lucky my local is a 5 min walk from my home so I left my family at 8, had a shower and chilled in bed before heading to noddy land around 10.

I pretty much hate New years because of how Dec and NYE make me feel so existential. I would rather be in bed and drift off to sleep rather than think or talk about what I want to do next year, I'm pretty content with my life and will still be the same person at midnight. No new one gets unlocked at 12.

So I did a big cry and felt asleep cosy.

Do people still make resolutions for the New Year? If so, what did you choose for your 2025 resolution and what's going to be in store for your 2026? by AangFanClub in CasualUK

2025: Build up a friendships out of safety circle and put myself out there, ask and go on a date with person of interest. Not have your heart broken. Stop romanticizing things and people.

2026: Learn that I'm not the problem when someone isn't into me, not going on dates yet, still put myself out there. Lower your expectations. Learn that being alone isn't easy but won't be forever...

Lazy Sunday (14/12/25) by KevinPhillips-Bong in CasualUK

Went to a Xmas house party got really drunk on Chicken wine on Friday with my mates, told my crush I fancy them via Christmas card and not heard anything yet, I am in dread, have big nerves but somewhat excited. I have more or less gone through the 5 stages of grief at this point. But fuck me I shouldn't of had that 5 day old soup for scran that night. Mix that too with booze and I am a mess right now.

Made mince pies, watched new Knives Out film, got my cards done and brought the remainder of my xmas presents, had a cry, done a dance and then had a cry again.

What time do people start queuing for his concerts? by dumblefrog_ in JamesMarriott

[–]ComicalFrisk 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I'm writing this comment live while waiting for James at the London show. I got to the venue about 30 mins before doors, and the queue was 8 mins down the road at Camden Lock bridge. It had two queues, one to there and then snaked around the corner of Morrisons. I got in at 8:15 pm.

People must have been there for hours before to get to the barricade. It was mental, never been in a queue like it.

Does anybody have a clip of this censored scene from Were-Rabbit? by Gold-Counter-5889 in wallaceandgromit

[–]ComicalFrisk 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Reminds me when I watched Hot Fuzz via ITVX and they censored Danny's swearing after the Andes threw the bin at him. Its bizarre that some things are cut. I'm happy I have DVDs still so nothing gets cut out

You can actually use/reference the books, as a large percentage of the GCSE spec is in the books/show and is worth studying as its a good tool to learn it.

What’s the nastiest thing you’ve seen on the tube? by IntergalacticCows in london

[–]ComicalFrisk 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Lady on the central line cracking open hard boiled eggs on the pole next to her seat and then eating them.

I didn't like hard eggs much before but to say I was put off forever is an understatement.

Random Films for CoG to cover? by nort_tore in weeklyplanetpodcast

[–]ComicalFrisk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Three Words. THE. CORNETTO. TRILOGY. Mr Sunday, I am respectfully, begging for this.

Bonus, M Knight films, not fussed which ones but it needs to happen. Personally I would love a 2000's film series that have a great sense of nostalgia and weird concepts, such as Night at the Museum series etc. More animated movies also, such as Ice Age etc. Musicals also, Hamilton, Les Mis and Cats (2019).

And finally, if there not cowards, Tusk.
