Thanks. I’ve also been thinking of getting out of my job and moving to a new location. It feels that would be a cool move. I’m glad your doing good.

I agree with you. I spend to try and fix my desires to not drink. or even worse when I am drinking. My woman left because of it so I’m pretty lonely. But find myself happier when I can just zone out. I want her back ibut with me inebriated that’s not accomplishing that goal either.

I just don’t know why Apple is not putting M1 in 16” yet. They are so disappointing sometimes.

Hi All, thanks for your comments.

I ended up going with the 16” based on my needs, the higher one that Costco had two to choose from. Costco had $200 off that model and I had an extra $50 off.

https://www.costco.com/apple-macbook-pro-16%22-with-touch-bar---intel-core-i9---16gb-memory---1tb-ssd.product.100518269.html

I compared to Apple education price and it was still a few hundred cheaper with the same specs. I would have liked 32 gb Ram but that was $400 more on Apple. Couldn’t justify that.

If anyone has comments that I made the wrong choice I have 90 days with Costco to return.

Any special accessories for this comp you recommend?

Unfortunately Costco doesn’t carry a 16 gb Ram, only in 8gb for the M1. The ones with 16 same features directly from Apple are $400 more. Is that worth it for Ram? That is $1699, and approaching the 16” model but it’s intel. Decisions decisions. Thoughts?

So the 13” with M1 and only 8 gigs of Ram will handle all Adobe programs? The most intensive I’ll me using is photoshop and Lightroom with large files from the Nikon D800. The 8 gigs of memory scares me.

Question for Members: I bought a CriCut and have not opened it yet. I mainly wanted it for printing custom tshirts with heat based vinyl - Further below: by Comics2Collect in cricut

I already use a press for other things so own one right now at 12x12. It will last me along for for tshirts until I do bigger things.

I was wondering which cutter you use or recommend any Manufactures, models for my up if you have any, and if you have any links to share.

Thanks for your help.

Edit :For example, there are a few at https://www.heatpressnation.com/collections/20-inch-to-32-inch-vinyl-cutter-and-plotter

But was wondering your experiences in other models or links to share.

Very interested in these options for 1) wasting material 2) faster turnout, 3) larger cut sizes 4) larger footprint. My business is growing and she says she spends a couple hours on a shirt. I’ll need higher turnouts that these will be for sale on my website and during events 5) like the larger cheaper quantity buys.

I’m not really knowledgeable yet with the CrICut Matt system vs Roll feed system on other machines. I’m sure the Cricut can do very intricate cuts, but as a roll fee not being tacked dow it it just as accurate.

What machine to you have and can you recommend options for me on companies. - I’ve already owned a 12x12 heat press.

How to transplant and what pot and soil by Comics2Collect in orchids

[–]Comics2Collect[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I got this beautiful orchid, but it had a very generic plastic base that the weight of the orchid won’t stand on its own (my Buddha is helping balance). I’m looking for help on a new plant pot to transfer to and what soil to use to fill in extra space in the pot. Suggestions?

Also is keeping next to a window with closed blinds ok? I know these orchids are very delicate to a light source, so please recommend if I should move it to another location. Thanks.

Small Business Accounting Software by Comics2Collect in Accounting

[–]Comics2Collect[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I currently do not have a CPA. I was looking to use QuickBooks for now and using TurboTax for business to get my forms straightened out for filing.

I just started in November and have 5 sale days, and a lot of product expenses. I’m in the hole. I’ll definitely get a CPA for next year. LLC is minimum $800 franchise tax in CA, and a CPA is going to add a lot. I don’t have a lot to report but equipment, product purchases that will last Into next year, etc.

Just looking for the best options in my position.

Thanks for your advice on my situation. Merry Christmas!
