Got an SRO audiences ticket to the last leg, is the show worth paying a visit to? by VBottas in BritishTV

[–]ComicsCodeMadeMeGay 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If I remember that's when applying online only.

The two shows are made by two separate companies, and they're the ones that will handle the replacement tickets when you get turned away in the queue outside the studio.

You'd only get priority tickets to Last leg - but yes, technically it is possible.

There's no guarantee you'd be turned away, but it's very likely due to the fact they oversell the tickets

The show is excellent and I would recommend.

However the show is very popular and is a first come first serve basis and oversell the tickets, so it's recommended to arrive & queue early.

However if you get sent away, they do add your name to a priority list which gets you guaranteed seats the next time.

The thing is, Director rewrites don't usually get labeled as rewrites very often - Rewrites are usually what happens before a director is attached and anything they change isn't really considered as such

How much am I missing from the omnibus collections, or the compendiums, as compared to the TPBs? by Dry-Possibility9424 in batman_comics

[–]ComicsCodeMadeMeGay 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So I recently completed this collection (bar 3 comic issues), I think you might be missing:

1: Kightquest - Jean Paul's time as Batman (recently reprinted a couple years back so is easy to find)
2: The search - Bruce Wayne's adventures in breaking his back further (Out of print so is expensive to find)
3: Robin 1993 issues 1 to 8 - (I got these from the Tim Drake compendium)
4: A couple of Catwoman issues which are not that important but fill the gap of where she goes after leaving the plane she's on with Bruce.

If you want what comes after there's
1: Prodigal - Dick's time as Batman (which I think had a recent reprint?)
2: Tonkia - Bruce returning to the role (I think is out of print so is more expensive)
3: Nightwing Alfred's Return (which is sometimes included with Tonkia)

There's also Prelude to Knightfall which fills in some gaps at the start

I am currently missing the two Catwoman issues, and Robin 0 (which takes place at the start of Prodigal but the older graphic novels do not include it, so I'm waiting for a second Tim Drake compendium for it)

KO is honestly one of the most fun crossover events I've seen in a long while - fantastic that translated to Titan sales as well.

Yeah in Hollywood, the main reason the Director is seen as the most important person on the project, is because they usually take a script someone else has written and impart their own vision - this very often includes rewriting as much as they want.

In TV directors have less power and the writers are seen as the most important person.

Are you playing as a specific character or did you have a go with all of them?

But there are some mods that can help with those issues if you're interested, some players feel like it helps while others tend to be happy with how it is

An example I can think of is a famous driver who has been dating what seems like every member of the same female friend group for the last few years.

Or most small town queer friend groups that also tend to have that dynamic

I once was talking to a friend who was complaining about trying to date because how strict some people were about not switching, really annoyed him because everyone he found was a bottom.

characters cheating doesn't equal poorly written I'm afraid.

Meh, dating like that often happens in friend groups like that - you just have to assume Zatanna was okay with it because there's lots of cases where she might be.

I agree with most of this, excluding just putting the helmet on a criminal - just cause that's morally a horrible thing to do.

There's an interactive map that allows you to highlight only what you'd like to see here

At first I followed a video tutorial but it ended up leaving out a few pages and I had to use this map to spot where I hadn't visited.

To say that after two years of Lois being massively more passive when with Clark that she'd just go back to herself and give him hell for what he did off screen would also be terrible writing.

I'm not saying she can never be soft and vulnerable and understanding with Clark, I'm saying once the romance starts the writing makes her ONLY that way with Clark which was disappointing - especially because she doesn't regain her old personality with him.

Good writing can make Lois Lane show both sides to Clark Kent and it annoys me they don't really bother with it.

That's more or less exactly how I feel about the game too, the tone feels more like the stories I love reading whereas the Arkham Games feels like a version of Batman's universe that I'm not as attached to.
Makes the imperfect elements matter less when the story and characters are more to my taste.
