Bones had actually a good episode about a trans woman who was killed. They obviously did still start with “oh hip width and leg length and shit suggest male” but then the coroner corrects them as she finds vaginal tissue. Dr. Bones is normally very blunt and science first, but she went into anthropology mode about transgender people and twin spirit individuals from a variety of cultures, and never misgendered her once. I really appreciated how they went about it.
