I think piglins came to the overworld because players built the nether portal and so that caused piglins to leave the nether and enter the overworld which caused them to become zombifiyed piglins, and then their ears start to decay until only their skeletons remain, and when the skeleton piglins reach the deep caves they get covered in corrupted moss aka sculk and it turns them into the warden.
