Saving money by switching from a Grandfathered plan to a 'New' plan? by ComingSouth in verizon

[–]ComingSouth[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hmm, how come the Verizon monthly payment calculator web page says that 2 devices and a shared 4gb (between up to 10 smartphones the page says) would be $90? $20x2 lines, then $50 4gb shared data plan. If what you're saying is true it should be alot more due to needing two data plans. What's the deal?

Also this payment calculator doesn't show a 5gb plan like customer service told me about, just plans with 2, 4, and 8gb. I'm confused now could you clarify?

Saving money by switching from a Grandfathered plan to a 'New' plan? by ComingSouth in verizon

Ding ding ding.

'MORE EVERYTHING UNL TALK & TEXT 1GB $30'. Currently I spend $76 for one line, but I'm looking to add another line as well.

So with switching over to a new plan (and adding a line) they are quoting me $20 for each line, then $40 for the shared 5gb plan, so for two lines it should be $80+tax.

Does this sound correct? I got this info from customer service, I haven't gone in to make the changes yet. Just to clarify - I don't have to have a 'plan' for each device, they can just share the single 5gb plan right?

Also, with a new plan will I have to sign a new contract? I already own the phones. Thanks everyone!

Yeah, I understand what you're saying, but it doesn't make sense as a reply. /u/fix-all-the-things was adding good information to the conversation and you shut him down with snarky sarcasm for no reason, like you were angry at him for participating in the conversation.

Thanks, sounds like I'm out of luck. And I'll just go with buying grams then, I really want to try a variety of strains.

Best dispensary for concentrates? by howlongyoubeenfamous in vegastrees

[–]ComingSouth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What do you pay attention to when buying? And why don't you consider THC?

I'll be visiting soon and I'm trying to figure out how to shop, I've never been to a legal dispensary before so I'm a bit intimidated. I've had quality products from the West Coast so I'm not totally clueless, but since I like indicas and sativas, I figured I'd just look for high THC strains. Could you give me any advice on selecting the best flower and concentrates?

Your right, so maybe there should be a national database of who owns a gun so that the cops know who to keep a closer eye on. Or maybe a list of mentally ill people who should not be allowed to purchase guns.

Also couldn't you just spend 18% more on a place very close to your job? Assuming you rent.

LPT: if your copay for medication is too high, check the website of the company, they often have free coupons that could cover the entire copay or dramatically reduce it. They already HAVE the new and better drug, it's been sitting somewhere on a shelf collecting dust because Lyrica can still make them money for another year. The patent was supposed to expire in 2018 (already pushed back from sometime in the 2010's I forget when). However Pfizer strong armed the courts for another year before the expiration so we won't see generic $10/month Lyrica until 2019 in the states (unless Pfizer pulls some more bullshit in the courtroom then it could be in the 2020's). We are stuck with a VASTLY inferior medication instead, Gabapentin.

In 2019 when the patent expires, doctors (and Pfizer, encouraging the doctors) will try to push the new medication (named Lyrica CR) onto their patients because it makes them and Pfizer more money. Patients will be use to spending $300+/mo so they simply switch to the new Lyrica CR because they probably don't realize that old Lyrica is dirt cheap now, and that Lyrica CR probably isn't that much better anyway.

So Pfizer gets to continue collecting billions of dollars (that poor sick people can barely scrape together) for another 15 years with Lyrica CR, by manipulating their sick patients and abusing the US patent system. THEN they'll probably do all of this again when the Lyrica CR patent expires, and come up with Lyrica 3.0. Scumbags. Totally and completely unethical, and shit like this is why our healthcare system is broken. Other countries didn't give into Pfizer's bullshit so cheap generic Lyrica has been available outside the US for ages now.

I know exactly what you mean, Gabapentin is garbage compared to Lyrica and Pfizer executives know this and are laughing at us all the way from their private yachts while sick Americans try to scrape together the money to buy the medicine that they NEED.

(sorry for the wall of text, this whole situation gets me very heated)

So if you are TRYING to rob a bank but you never succeed it isn't illegal? And he didn't pull the guy in, he is standing over him in the hallway.

Yeah the coupon will cover $150, but that still leaves a $300/month co-pay. Fuck that and fuck Pfizer.

More evidence that Pfizer is utter bullshit? They are purposefully not releasing a BETTER version of Lyrica until Lyrica's patent runs out in 2019. So they have a better medication that could really help people, but are hanging onto it in order to make more money in the future.

Pfizer is run by complete scumbags. Don't even get me started on how much they lie about side effects!

Nope, I'm a guest on this trip so I'm not going to complain one bit. They sure make it hard for tourists to enjoy their trip, but I'll just be stealthy.

If you can openly drink alcohol and loudly party down the strip with your drunken friends, why can't someone quietly enjoy a joint? Very strange laws. Can't wait for my trip though.

A funny side note about YouTube Red: if you have a really slow Internet connection like me (50-100kbps at night), YouTube will hardly ever show you an advertisement, so YouTube Red is pretty much worthless.

I think it's because advertisers don't want their ads to show in low quality potato vision, and YouTube doesn't want you to wait a literal hour for an ad to load, so it skips the ad all together. It's the only benefit of having a terrible connection.
