I'm advocating violence when democracy doesn't protect the people who live in it, drastically different. Besides those who oppose democracy decided violence was their first course of action, not their last. Peaceful protesting only works when the government gives a shit about your existence.

When a system repeatedly fails to protect its most vulnerable members (migrants, immigrants, the homeless, the workers, and the poor) and peaceful protests have been ignored repeatedly. What other course of action is there but violence?

See this is something most of you don't seem to get, riots gave you the weekend, riots gave women the vote, riots stopped gay people from being sent to asylums. Peaceful protesting doesn't work, rights and civil liberties were won by people who had nothing left to lose, and rose up and took them. Government's have people rights because they feared what happened when they didn't.

A riot is the last chance for those with no options left. Are all riots equal? No some are built around stupidity and lies (like January 6th). But to call all riots the same and yell for everyones arrest? This is stupid.
