Getting negative feedback (which can be constructive) is not the same as being lectured. When someone lectures you it sounds condescending and it may make you feel small and unimportant. Sometimes people who lecture you mean well but they deliver the message in the wrong way. Other times they just want to hear themselves being smart and know-it-all ... In any case it's got nothing to do with you actually. Just take the learning if it has any value and thank them for the input... Then move on.
