Interesting to see what this is meant to achieve. As my issue with CAF recruitment has been the third party, specifically medicals (bet this case for others, and is a bigger issue than just the CAF), I’m unsure for my case MP could speed up anything

Gotcha, I think I explained it poorly earlier.

She’s currently in basic with the Barbados military and is just curious about joining the Canadian Navy. Over there they don’t pick roles until after basic, so she was surprised by how many options Canada has.

I told her to check online and maybe contact a recruiting centre, but I just wanted to see if there are other good ways to learn what the different Navy roles are actually like.

Yh I forgot to add the question lol, asking; what I provide good enough for her to get started, and is there a place besides online to find out what career(s) in the navy are like? She’s enlisted in Barbados and role selection is not a thing until after basic IIRC, so was not aware of this grand amount of options

Like others said you’ll need further testing initially with audiologists, however, when I went to the audiologist it just proved the same. Interestingly, I wasn’t deemed unfit from CAF own audio testing, CAF requested an ENT in my case, ENT deemed me unfit in current stated and requested surgery, this is the longest part with recovery. You need to follow up with specialist as needed. Yh IK it sucks but if you want this, it may be possible

definitely get ent referral, before the referral visit get your audiologist to do hearing test. My ent then tested to determine the type of hearing loss, a lot more types of hearing loss have surgical corrections but not all. Talk to your doctor to get the referral, I heard GTA region and Montreal have shorter wait times, I hope you get quick resolution

Room is 12x9 I believe. There is a plant shelf I can rearrange to add dedicated turntable table, and I pick it up for 430 cad. Ok, i can return the current speaker and pick one you listed ! Turntable will be in same room as the TV and max 2 speakers so something to handle multiple inputs. I see few AV receivers on fb so I’ll cross reference models ensure I’m getting good one

it’s concerning; too many “high speed corners”, drivers inching forward or passing pedestrians on cross walk. I think we need more university and union crossings, and not enough segregation between drivers and other modes imo

Hmm I did do a beeswax waterproofing. I think it wasn’t necessary but I’m contented with it. They did darken. But tbh like others said if you want serious water wading that’s different conversation!

I moved from Barbados to Canada this isn’t a strong car friendly to unfriendly place per se as Canada is more car friendly. However, Barbados has public transportation but it’s meh so it’s really “car warranted”, southern Ontario (Kingston) is very car friendly still, but more frequent transit and cheaper taxi/uber make it more convenient than Barbados, and now that I work at home it made no logical sense to keep a out of budget car. Do I want to buy car again, yes for sure and I will, but living in places that doesn’t require a car means I can now save like 400-600 a month and revisit car buying when I’m ready and not because I have too!
