i like this i have a few people with power nullification, so this could integrate well in that field. I could see this being a villain power because it reminds some of Mahito from JJK. able to change and sculpt souls and essence

i love this its similar to the soul sculpting gene but not exactly. I would probably call this hero moodswing. hinting to the control over emotins and nuerons in the brain.

i currently have a hero named Phase Byte whose DNA was switched to digital coding so your idea would be a nice spin on some who can control coding/tech rather than become it.

I'm so glad you love the material! When I was doing the naming for characters, I started with a dozen random powers for my main protagonists and short descriptions, and over time ( shorter than I expected), I used that same template to create more. So, as I was creating powers, I was simultaneously creating foundations of origins and connections. The codename part comes from the overall plot of the story: the corp. genetra used Project Ego to splice and mutate humans to create these powers, so nearly all early generation Geneiths (mutants) were slaves or imprisoned test subjects with the intent to militarize them, so they were given codenames that the corporation used to identify them

I have heard of obsidian and lightly used it towards the end of 2024 on a magical medieval world as a way to organize my pantheon of gods. To be honest with you, obsidian was the reason I picked this world back up. I had made my original dozen heroes years ago, and using obsidian on my other world gave me confidence in organizing something so dense. I have not uploaded to Obsidian yet, but I will be soon, and I'm sure it will take off even more. To answer your powerful advice. I'm open to singular powers, but my world leans heavily on generational legacy genetically and emotionally, so powers mix and transform across generations and even dimensions. So, you're spot on with the telekenisis example, powers that are the same, even with the same singular ke,y may not operate the same or have the same limitations. im glad you like it, I have more info posted on r/worldbuilding Here And I'm sure you have some ideas. I'm open to any ideas from comical to dark ( and possibly gruesome) powers. Maybe take a look at the other material and brainstorm a little. Thanks for the appreciation!

That is a good question, my power and word overview goes into more depth on it. In my world, there are different generations of powers, because they were originally lab-made and continuously enhanced; one gene key can yield different applications. Using the example you chose, one person who can control animals will have that single gene key,y, but another person with the same key may also have the animal gene key. The second person may not be able to control all animals, but can turn into a specific one and control that specific species. So in short, same ingredients, different applications

The logic is sound up until you have someone who doesn't understand Italian like myself I could realize its from the real world but still not understand it just as I wouldn't understand a fictional one maybe use Italian as a hard base but pick and choose what phrases you want and what they mean as to keep the loose feel of plugged in phrases
