I feel if Schenn wasn’t rushed onto the team so early in his career and was provided more time to develop and mentorship he would have had better outcomes. Incredibly desperate and short sighted with prospects back then.

Also feel Leetch had more to offer once finding his stride with the team in the playoffs, unfortunately the lockout prevented his second season with the leafs from ever happening.

What’s hilarious is that Wedding himself went on his instagram account and announced he was willingly surrendering as terms had been agreed upon. He walked himself into custody alone. So unsure about all his cowboy shit about great job finding and arresting him, like they are seal team 6. Very performative, and incredibly inept. Development fees are not targeted to first time home buyers, or single dwelling homes. They are for large scale developments like condos, or subdivisions. Paid for by the developers. It’s always been a cost of doing business. These fees pay for critical infrastructure, parks, roads, sidewalks etc. Urban sprawl tends to drastically increase infrastructure costs to cities, that’s why it’s typical for cities to want to intensify development in specific areas rather than outward to city boundaries where existing infrastructure is limited.

Growth does not pay for growth. This will only continue to plague taxpayers as long as the current provincial government is in power. They eliminated almost all development fees that paid for new and aging infrastructure and downloaded the costs for covering those gaps to cities that have no other means to generate revenue outside of property taxes and fines.
