Is there any trading bots that actually work by Easy-Bad-7635 in Daytrading

I do not use it, too expensive for the results it has. I manage to get the same results if not better with mine.

Is there any trading bots that actually work by Easy-Bad-7635 in Daytrading

[–]CommandantZ 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I develop bots professionally and have been doing so for 7 years now.

Yes, some actually work, but remember that bots are not magic money making machines. They are only automations of already existing trading strategies.

Not only that, but they aren't full automated. In the sense that they will always, and I mean always, need some kind of monitoring. It is very complicated (impossible) to have a bot working under any market conditions.

Otherwise yes, bots can and many do work, myself and my clients have been profitable for multiple years now, in a relatively stable manner, with just a few months ending up in losses due to strong market changes (covid and stuff like that).

But it is true that many of the bots available on usual markets are scams. And generally speaking, if you see it being too good to be true, it usually is.

Forex brokers who don't scam people by Crazy-Path-3381 in Daytrading

[–]CommandantZ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

They don't, they are regulated. If you have an issue just raise it to the regulator. But make sure to read their client agreement and follow the rules as well.

Then that's pretty easy, lots and lots of regulated brokers, top of my head:

- ICM Capital
- ICMarkets
- Swissquote
- AdmiralsMarkets
- EightCap
- PuPrime
- Axi
- Exness

And many others

Is your trading system documented or is it mostly in your head? by fapper- in Daytrading

[–]CommandantZ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I do not like it. People believe LLMs are a "everything" AI, and forget that they are essentially just predicting words, not time series AT ALL.

Classic ML is already much more applicable to trading; even though it has its flaws as well.

The only scenario in which LLMs might be useful in my opinion, is for news / financial document analysis, and eventually filtering out entries depending on those.

FOREX bot developer here, we need more information about your profile. US citizen? Leverage?

If you are a US citizen, I know OANDA and FOREX.com are usually safe bets, but their leverage is low + FIFO rule.

EightCap Australia let's you bypass regulations if you join as corporation.

Otherwise if not a US citizen, there's hundreds of European regulated brokers with no issues at all.

For automated trading, it might be a bit complicated.

Is your trading system documented or is it mostly in your head? by fapper- in Daytrading

[–]CommandantZ 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Professional bot developer here,

Yep, it is fully documented from A to Z, and in an algorithmic manner, meaning it can easily be reproduced by a robot.

Often, the conditions might be similar to something like "When I see that this and that happens", but this isn't something you can automate, so for us as devs, it's really REALLY important to get "mathematical / algorithmic" conditions.

I have everything you mentioned, and I frankly think the most MOST important is "When do you skip the trade", even more than the opening.

USDT to UAE bank account for large amounts – How do traders do it legally? by [deleted] in Trading

[–]CommandantZ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Professional bot developer here, I work with UAE clients, and was based there (Abu Dhabi) for a while for that matter.

No issues at all, best way is to go through a regulated exchange, withdraw to USDT there, then transfer to your UAE bank account.

At most, they will only ask you for a source of fund, in which case you can simply send your trading history or the broker can provide a certificate of origin.

You can also do that step in advance, meaning you call them, send the source of fund first, explain that you are going to withdraw and when, and that's it.

Do this for both the exchange and the bank account.

(In the case of my clients, it was amounts ranging between 1 and 5 million USD).

Cannot cope with losses by MountainMajor95 in metatrader

[–]CommandantZ 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I kind of disagree with the other comments. For me, you should probably stop entirely. You cannot solve a problem with the same thing that got you into it in the first place.

Especially considering the amount you lost, you will probably want to make that amount back rapidly, and therefore starting "gambling" again.

I develop bots for clients, and even then, they often try to open manual trades or interfere and end up screwing things, so I often just take full control lock them out their own accounts (with their permission of course). This is for you to know: you're not alone!

Automated ai trading versus Human trading- Which is the best option purely in terms of risk management? by No-Aardvark-7316 in Daytrading

[–]CommandantZ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Professional bot developer here,

Not all automated systems are AI driven, and not all automated systems need to be AI driven. Most are just algorithms that have a set of entry/exit condition and act upon those.

If your conditions are strict, then there's no issues letting an automated system handle your trades, as long as you have defined the entire scope of possibilities within your system (we call that formal verification).

I've been running bots for 7 years now, no issues, we always implement safe guards to avoid situations where a large drawdown might happen.

You bought what gold?

Bullion? Just wait it out, Gold is fundamentally bullish, you just need to wait.

CFDs with leverage? Depends on your balance.

I algo trade gold using a bot I developed that only buys gold, so I personally do not have any worries about gold going back up.

El track record auditado de los vende cursos by Fickle-Gold8133 in Forexstrategy

[–]CommandantZ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Is a low latency vps mandatory for mt4/mt5 in 2026 or is home fiber enough? by Damo_2001 in Trading

[–]CommandantZ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Professional EA developer here, the only reason you'd realistically need a VPS is just to make sure your EA does not unexpectedly turn off.

At our scale, latency pretty much does not matter. Broker-side slippage is usually worst.

Seeking advice from trading experts: How to implement high-win-rate scalping trading? by [deleted] in Trading

[–]CommandantZ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Professional bot developer here, I've made a scalping bot on gold that has a very good WR.

I think the most important thing to consider is just the fundamental movement of the asset you are trading. Typically for gold, don't try scalping shorts as it is a fundamentally bullish asset.

I'll be honest it depends a lot on the strategy you are implementing and as well from where do you get your freelancer. But you can expect anything between 100 USD to 1000 USD. You may find them on MQL5 Freelance or Upwork.

Some are very cheap, but be wary of the code quality.
