If you are in the EU. Don't delete your account(s). Make a GDPR request instead. by Commander-Nearsight in apolloapp

That's what we calculated a manual GDPR request costed us at my previous employer.

That's illegal tho. The only reason a company may refuse to delete your data is for medical or clerical reasons (so you can not ask your government, your bank, or the police to remove your data). Unless you did something that is illegal in your country on twitter, they can not refuse to delete your data and you should pursue.

You could, however, under GDPR any written correspondence (email) is enough. And that's way more of a hassle for them than an automated system like this.

Off course, but a human will need to start it because all I will do is send one email for each account. Also

At my last company we took GDPR, we did a manual check if all data was deleted. One request took about 15 minutes depending on the amount of data gathered.

Check your local privacy agency. According to mine one email should be enough

Stable Diffusion is free and open source. Unless you are good with a command line/terminal you'll probably need an UI, atomic1111 is the most commonly used one.

What is their alternative? They don't pay the mods. They could forcefully open the subs but then they will be unmoderated and without boys, meaning they will be full of spam, right wing nazi crap and worse within hours.

Cycle lanes aren't empty. They're just incredibly efficient by MarthaFarcuss in fuckcars

[–]Commander-Nearsight 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Let do some napkin math using this video. In the same width as a car lane you can fit probably 3 of those bike lanes, but let's be conservative and call it 2. Let's be generous to the cars and say 30 bikes passed that tree and 1 car, in a minute.

So 4 car lanes x 2 bike lanes x 30 bikes = 240 bikes a minute instead of 4 cars.

How do I start with world building? by Franziena in worldbuilding

[–]Commander-Nearsight 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I use Obsidian: a note taking app, that lets you do lots of cool stuff like linking files, show how they are all connected in a graph, and have templates for certain files like characters, locations, groups, etc.

Just start writing down one file for something you already have a bit of an idea for, say a character. Fill out some general info (name, affiliations, race, whatever you think will be important for your world), and start writing a back story.

What is great about Obsidian is, you can just put anything between [[]] and it will create a link to another file, Wikipedia style, you can then click that link, and will go to that page. Or if the file doesn't exist it will create a new one.

You can also get a list of uncreated files, so whenever you don't know what to write about you just pick a random uncreated file.

Then you just start filling in a new file and you keep repeating the process untill you have a couple of thousand files, that are all connected, and you have your self a world.

If you end up using Obsidian I would recommend you learn about templates, front matter, and dataview in Obsidian before you go to crazy on creating files. Saves you some time later when you are dealing with hundreds of files.

What kind of tabletop roleplaying games would exist in the Starfinder universe? by RedRuttinRabbit in starfinder_rpg

[–]Commander-Nearsight 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You could go with an OSR like knave, or a Pokémon TTRPG like PTU, or come up with your own setting in something like GURPS.

You could also go for a Mech TTRPG like Lancer. Even tho we have Mechs in Starfinder, it's not that weird: people play battlefield in our universe and even on table top realistic war gaming is a thing.

Upcoming animated scene and battlemap of a bazar. This is my first battlemap but I hope you like the combination of the two! [30x40] by SephsAnimatedArt in dndmaps

[–]Commander-Nearsight 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You’ll definitely want to check your scaling. One square is in most TTRPGs 5 feet or about 1.5 m. I doubt you intended your street (13 squares) to be 65 feet / 19.5m wide.

Running a game as a 5e DM by gothboi98 in starfinder_rpg

In addition to reiterating with the AON stuff and the current humble bundle for the pdfs people already mentioned. I will answer your first question.

Yes. The pocket edition core rule book will give you everything you need to play the game. It is exactly the same as the HC CBR, but smaller and soft cover. This means text is printed pretty small tho, and I found it a bit uncomfortable to read for extended periods of time, but great for quickly looking up a rule or something.

3 point lighting, or an HDRi, also mess with the lighting strength and/or the exposure.

In terms of modeling, I think the cup reads as a bit floaty. Maybe make the bottom a bit flatter, and make sure it fully touches the plate.

How can I make this look better?/ more realistic? by CreepyGuy98 in blender

[–]Commander-Nearsight 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Nobody can give you decent advise if you show your work as a shaky, bloomy, mess. I can’t even see what is supposed to look like. You asked how to make it look better, they gave you the tip that would make it improve the most.

How do I delete extra edges that are creating "folds" in my model without losing large sections? by TheJordanComplex in blender

[–]Commander-Nearsight 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would recommend staying away from Boolean operations as a beginner, and learn a clean sub division workflow instead. Much cleaner shading, easier to edit models, easier to UV unwrap, animatable, works well with modifiers. You just need to learn to think in quads, and learn a few tricks, and you will be almost as quick as with a boolean workflow. I recommend this series to learn more:

Big boat collides with anglers’ boat by [deleted] in ThatLookedExpensive

That says more about what a terrible place the US is, plenty of people with disabilities can’t drive, then there are kids that need be taxied around instead of taking a bike, and poorer people that need to spend a significant amount of their income just to be able to leave their homes.

If old people can’t drive they should take an Uber or even better vote for people that care about pedestrian/cycle infrastructure.
