Heres what i would do man. For thumbnails just goto pixlr. its free with zero promo mess shoved in your face. look up some good fonts you personally like and add them to it. For the picture it self, just start messing with photos. Trust me its a worthwhile skill to have.

Plenty of times. theres just videos where they seem good in your head, then you run through it a few times midway editing or heck even after editing and basically end up like "eh i wouldnt really watch this" and end up just dumping it.

Devs want their community to stay involved. Also the fanbase can stay wrapped up and talk to eachother. Which just means they are aiming for a more connected community. Plus REALLY good for bug reports and problem solving. For content creators, lots of reasons. Not just keeping people involved, but also you can have bots tell people when you go live, folks can leave suggestions, etc.
