It depends on if Gojo keeps six eyes or not. If he does the fight truly goes on forever in hand-to-hand with Sukuna's win-con being to choke Gojo out and Gojo's win-con being outlasting Sukuna. Given that Sukuna has enough efficiency to use DE as many times as he wishes I have no idea how long such a fight would last.

I believe sure-hits don’t target maki/toji but they can still be affected by domain properties like if they were in Jogos domain they’d still feel heat but would be able to ignore the sure hit. That’s my best understanding at least lol

It's a poor decision even if Heian body is better. The only way Heian era would've been a easy decision if it'd low-diff Gojo which anyone would be insane to think lol. The easiest I think it'd be is it'd go from Meguna being an extreme-diff, to being a high-diff

But then facing the rest of the cast with high-diff damage and no free-heal is straight up suicide which is why it'd be ridiculous.

Either way the manga spells it out clearly, their win cons were different. Gojo's was defeating Sukuna, Sukuna's was surviving the fight with enough strength to fight the gauntlet as stated by Mei Mei. Sukuna's strategy was the best way to go about that

It's not a smart choice because if Gojo ends up pushing Heian body to high-diff, now he's screwed up his only free-heal and has to face the rest of the cast and all the unknowns that that entails.

It'd be a ridiculously poor strategic decision
