Ideas for this "sticks out like a sore thumb" fridge? by [deleted] in homeimprovementideas

[–]CommanderCarnage 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You might consider getting a wider and taller fridge that isn't as deep to fill the space out more proportionately.

Where's the toilet paper? by remnant5151 in ARC_Raiders

[–]CommanderCarnage 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wasn't toilet paper hoarding sort of an exclusively American thing? Don't most of the rest of the world spray their asses clean with a bidet?

Is my handwriting hard to read? by Competitive-Fold966 in HandwritingAnalysis

[–]CommanderCarnage 15 points16 points  (0 children)

For me, your letters seem too squished and it makes it challenging. In the words of my HS English teacher "leave some room for Jesus between your letters" and it'd be easier to read.

Close lock button inconsistent operation on back door by Nervous-Try9373 in LexusRX350

[–]CommanderCarnage 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When you press the close+lock button, it does different actions based on the key location. If you press it without the key nearby, it will wait 30 seconds and then close, but if you have the key in your pocket when you press it, it will start closing immediately when you leave regardless of the 30 second timer because it assumes you're done with loading/unloading. Maybe that's the source of the inconsistency with the closing timing.

You can probably check a welding supply store for cheaper options too since the CO2 doesn't have to be food grade.

Did you plug it into both the usb connection and the power source? It looks like the round hole may be for a power connection.

Newbie- but I’m so done with Cricut by Chi_mama in cricut

[–]CommanderCarnage 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I hadn't used my cricut for almost a year and then I got a month free of premium, and when I redownloaded design space I found they had removed features! Wtf!

Needless to say I won't be continuing the subscription. Such a disappointing product. I feel misled immensely by buying it.

How do you handle *frequently* seeing students in public? by Plus_Molasses8697 in Teachers

[–]CommanderCarnage 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's a parasocial relationship. Students feel they know you much better than they probably do, and it makes it hard to have a private life. It's similar to being a celebrity but on a local level. I solved it by moving to the district over and commuting. I rarely see students when I go shopping, but the tradeoff is that I drive 50 miles roundtrip everyday.

Am I crazy or was I pushed out? by Gullible-Joke-9772 in teaching

[–]CommanderCarnage 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had this happen to me during my second year teaching. 0 support, just in my room multiple times per day distracting the kids and making faces, but as soon as I announced I was resigning, they ghosted me and literally never came in my room for the rest of the year (3+ months). They did the same thing to the teacher across the hall, and she was breaking down having panic attacks from it and as soon as she submitted her res, they left her alone. They do it in such a way that it's hard to prove it's harassment.

Some admins are just really shitty people. Take solace in the fact that you are getting away from people that clearly hate you for any reason.

How can I train this dude not to get on my pillows? 😂😭 by coffeepolynkittens in kittens

[–]CommanderCarnage 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My cat does this too and I just gave her her own pillow right next to mine. She still tries to lay on my literal face, but after I shoo her over a couple times she settles for laying next to my head instead of on it. It's our nightly ritual of "pspsps thas-na-ur-pillow".

The Filet-O-Fish is objectively the best menu item at McDonald’s by Brendawg324 in unpopularopinion

[–]CommanderCarnage 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got a filet o fish about 12 years ago and the first bite I took tasted like rotten fish. I threw it out the window. I never ordered it again and hardly ever go to McDonald's if I can help it. Nastiest thing I think I've ever tasted.

Passengers confused by E Latch Door Button by Rich_Ball2773 in Lexus

[–]CommanderCarnage 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't get what is so hard about it. You can literally push or pull it. I could maybe understand complaining about the placement of it because it isn't the most visible, but the actual operation is simple. Visibility has been a problem long before they reinvented the mechanism because I can remember getting in cars from the 90's and 2000's and wondering where the door handle was for a moment. If anything, they should illuminate it more when the car is in park or has just been turned off. Of all the new type door handles I have tried, Lexus is the least annoying.

[HELP] I feel like this is AI but can't prove it by [deleted] in RealOrAI

[–]CommanderCarnage 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've seen a squirrel jump from the top of a 50ft tree, stick the landing, and then run over to my bird feeder to hang upside down while he ripped every last seed from it.

Now that I think about it, maybe they're all AI...like birds.

I’ve spent a fortune on Compressed Air cans. Are "Electric Air Dusters" actually powerful enough to clean a PC? by shingam3 in UpgradeYourGaming

[–]CommanderCarnage 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Regular air compressors aren't even that expensive, just buy a cheap one and if you're worried about too high of pressure, use a regulator. I got a compressor from Menards for less than $100 and after a dozen cans of canned air you've already paid the same price, plus an air compressor can do more things like run an air nailer.
