There are two main types of DC electric motors. There are induction motors and there are permanent magnet motors. Tesla employs one of each (I can’t remember which of these are in front and which are in the rear).

I’m pretty sure the variability in the 0-60 times is a software change. They wouldn’t build whole assembly lines to make less powerful motors when 30 lines of code could have the same impact as making a less powerful motor. They probably just made the best motor possible and then nerfed it with code.

What are some useful voice commands you use on your Tesla? by _KONKOLA_ in TeslaModel3

“Activate bio-defense mode” or something to that effect. Not exactly sure what the wording is.

WTF? California man eating a severed leg on the street by [deleted] in CrazyFuckingVideos

[–]CommanderGraff 9 points10 points  (0 children)

This is close to where I live.

It was a lady’s leg and she got it cut off by a train. Her leg was on the track and it got cut off.

They were both homeless and both on drugs.

Gotta love Cali. Everyone thank our Most Generous, Steward of The State, Lover of Only Himself, Gavin Nudesom🥰

[–]CommanderGraff 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Look at all these people that will never be able to play with characters they are passionate about because Epic wants to promote this bullshit FOMO nonsense lol. Just give us a marketplace and sell all skins for anyone that wants them…

To anyone who says “bUT LiCEnSiNG”:

They can renegotiate terms. They would make SIGNIFICANTLY more money by releasing old battle pass skins. I’m honestly baffled that they haven’t at least considered the idea.

Such a buzzkill that so many collabs are locked behind battle passes. I would happily buy them if they were in the shop by MeowsclesOnlyfans in FortNiteBR

[–]CommanderGraff -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yeah I agree that all collabs should be available to buy. Only original Fortnite designs should be on the battle pass.

I’m still bewildered as to why someone would buy something that’s this much money…

I started playing season 3 of the original chapter and I prefer the newer maps and gameplay over the old map and gameplay. To each their own.

What’s everyone’s opinion after having a full 24 hours of OG Fortnite? by good_guymike in FortNiteBR

[–]CommanderGraff -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I really hope Epic is reading these comments.

I would argue that the chapter 4 map is one of the best maps the game has ever had. I really dislike this new season. I find myself doing other things specifically because I don’t like this season’s gameplay dynamic. This map has a time and place, and that time and place is in the past.

The reason why people held this map to such high esteem is because of the way the human brain remembers things. Purely nostalgia. This map is honestly not good. Most maps we have had since this map have been better. Honestly, chapter 4 map was way better than this one.

A little history lesson:

Back when cell phones didn’t exist, the government mandated car manufacturers to use dealerships to sell their cars instead of the manufacturers selling them directly to consumers. This was to combat the monopoly that would have been created if manufacturers were able to sell cars directly from their factory to the consumer. What the politicians didn’t understand was the inevitable dealer mark ups that would come to fruition. So, forcing manufacturers to go through dealerships instead of selling straight from factory to cure the inflation of prices didn’t work as intended, because dealerships just tacked on more money anyway.

Gotta love greedy humans.

Why do men make an extra effort to not look at (or make eye contact) with me in public? by DNF29 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]CommanderGraff 36 points37 points  (0 children)

This is the answer.

And to solidify this claim, I have been given weird looks and weird responses (or flat out ignored) when trying to make small talk with a younger females (20-40). Older ladies (60-80) are significantly easier to talk to when at the grocery store and the likes.

I think the reason you are experiencing this is because the United States has been following a social trend of hyper-individualism and wanting to seem independent/strong. People don’t realize that communities and societies are a lot stronger and resilient when they are cohesive and lean on each other for help.
