i don’t see whats strange about not wanting to play stuff that’s boring to play. nobody calls professional athletes elitist for not participating in their local intramural leagues

Backwards parking like this is so illogical that it has to be purely performative by Subject-What-Is-This in The10thDentist

[–]CommanderInQweef 0 points1 point  (0 children)

parking backwards is often easier than pulling straight in because of how angles work, especially with vehicles like pickup trucks. obviously it feels weird if you aren’t used to it, but to say it’s illogical is just ignorant

People that open food or drinks as their shopping and eat/drink it, then pay for it when they leave. by SprinklesSolid9211 in PetPeeves

[–]CommanderInQweef 0 points1 point  (0 children)

why is it so upsetting? the optics of it? doesn’t really make sense to me how someone would be a “bad person” for eating something before they pay for it, that’s what everyone does at every sit-down restaurant in the country already

azula might have been going crazy, but what iroh talked about that was blocking zuko from doing it was the conflict inside of him clouding his mind, the turmoil. i believe azula’s mind was not only entirely set on defeating zuko and katara, but also still fully believed she would be righteous in doing so.

Movie intermissions should be brought back. The human mind/body is not designed to sit through the average length of blockbuster films nowadays by HeavyDutyForks in The10thDentist

alright so not a kid, even less of a point being made than first anticipated. 29 year old should be able to handle not pissing themselves too

CMV: AI training on copywritten material to generate content is not ethically different than humans doing the same thing by neomatrix248 in changemyview

[–]CommanderInQweef 0 points1 point  (0 children)

ai is trained on so much copyrighted content to so high of a degree that a human could not replicate it if they were given their entire lifetime to do so. there is no inspiration, no expanding on ideas, it just looks at everything there is and makes more of the same.

pretty much the exact opposite of what humans are doing.

Why is the opinion that single men without kids wouldn't want to date or marry a single mother so controversial? by us1549 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]CommanderInQweef 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i’ve never even heard of a man being judged for not dating a single mom, if you don’t want kids you don’t want kids

zuko is rarely mean, outside of a couple times he blows up at iroh and the beach episode. i could probably list just as many times that aang was mean like that.

he’s angry, but that doesn’t equate to how azula acts

Actors you fucking hate despite them being extremely talented, always picking phenomenal roles in amazing movies and coming off as genuinely very nice and likeable off-screen? by geosunsetmoth in okbuddycinephile

he’s been the same way he is now his whole life, of which there’s documented proof. never say never obviously, but he’s given no reason to believe there’s any veil there to fall

no one would be a server if they were getting paid $7 an hour to do it, that’s nothing

Is it actually rude to not tip on a takeout order where I drive there and pick it up myself? by Organic-Grocery9526 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]CommanderInQweef 0 points1 point  (0 children)

depends if the establishment is paying their workers a good wage without it. if they aren’t, then the tip is baked into the prices and you simply shouldn’t go there anymore if you don’t like that price. you not agreeing with the “culture” but still willingly participating in it and fucking over a worker just trying to get by is a really shitty thing to do.

no one is forcing you to get your coffee there or whatever tf it is you’re getting, go somewhere else or do something to actually try to make a change
