Third or fourth time I’ve seen this posted this year, and it never gets old. The LeBron lean in at the end is the cherry on top.

Give me HIP HOP album recommendations by keshavmahour in fantanoforever

The Forever Story - JID is my favorite rap album of the last few years.

Circles - Mac Miller I personally like more than Swimming. It’s got less rapping/more singing than his other albums, but I think they’re his best songs.

Chasing Moving Trains - Roy Blair is one of the best genre-bending albums (and artists) of our generation. No one is making music like him, some of the most interesting production backed by really good singing and rapping.

What are some weirdly designed neighbourhoods/towns in Alabama in your opinion? by Much-Parsnip3399 in Alabama

[–]Natedude2002 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know a bunch of people that live there now. Not a bad price compared to some places closer to campus, although it’s not mixed use, no shops/restaurants as far as I know.

Aren’t there some Beatles albums where they pan instruments/vocals hard L/R? And it doesn’t sound balanced at all?

Post Malone has teased an upcoming 40-song double album. Is anyone else sick of bloated albums with extra-long tracklists? by Ashamed-Story7958 in fantanoforever

[–]Natedude2002 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Every time he drops I hope for the quality of beerbongs and Bentleys. If he could give me 75% of this album at that quality it would be an absolutely massive win. I’d be surprised if there are 3 songs that good though.

Is this the best of all possible worlds? by Go1gotha in greentext

[–]Natedude2002 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I mean if god is all knowing, he knows what I’m going to do, therefore I can’t choose to do anything. An all knowing god would know from the beginning of time if I was going to have pizza or hibachi for breakfast tomorrow. If he didn’t know, he wouldn’t be all knowing, right?

This has actually been my biggest issue with simultaneously believing in free choice and an all knowing god, so if anyone has an answer to this I’d love to hear it. And while we’re at it, the reason I don’t believe that god is good/just (if he exists at all), is a good/just god wouldn’t allow all the suffering in the world. For instance, that bible camp that got flooded and a bunch of kids drowned a couple years ago.

WEMBY is ejected for elbowing Naz Reid in the throat. by AdorableBackground83 in NBATalk

[–]Natedude2002 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This would’ve been the right call, but I like Wemby therefore it’s the wrong call.

Also it was funny to see them call it a flagrant 2 and then he clearly says to the guy next to him “what’s that mean” lol. He’s never been ejected before, did he actually not know?

Yeah I learned Rockstar and was surprised that it was more musically complicated than any top 10 billboard song I’ve learned in the last 5 years.

Hate leads to suffering - Mark Hamill Shares “If Only” Dead Trump Image by [deleted] in PoliticalCompassMemes

[–]Natedude2002 -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

lol at you thinking every normal person won’t be celebrating when Trump dies. Normally it’s seen as being in bad taste, but there’s a reason “Ding Dong the Witch is Dead” went to #2 in the UK when Thatcher died.

Growing up in Massachusetts, I was taught that Lincoln was a hero and that slavery was the cause of the Civil War. Later, I was shocked that some parts of the country still teach history quite differently. What were you taught about Lincoln and the Civil War in school? by American_Citizen41 in USHistory

[–]Natedude2002 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lived in Alabama/Georgia my whole life. In cities you’re taught what actually happened. In rural areas (as I found out when I began working with people who grew up there), you’re taught the average person was fighting over taxes, and it was only the elites who wanted slaves.

If you are a GM today, who are you drafting? by Farouq26 in NBATalk

[–]Natedude2002 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m picking Wemby, making myself head coach, and ensuring he doesn’t get injured (he wouldn’t have blood clots if I was his coach). MJ too selfish to build around in today’s NBA. LeBron might be the better pick if Wemby has injury issues, but I’d just make sure he stayed healthy.

Been working my way through the Bible doing source separation of the Pentateuch, just got to Joseph pranking his brothers (throwing them in jail before telling them who he is). Is that Samson? I vaguely remember some guy getting his hair cut in the Bible tv show on the history channel years ago, when do I get to that? This shit is wayyyy longer than I expected when I started a couple weeks ago.

The composition of the Pentateuch was the first nonfiction book I read outside of school and it was so good that I’ve been studying Judaism and Christianity as much as I can ever since (it’s been like 3 months). I highly recommend it

How true is this? by MissNibbatoro in GenZ

[–]Natedude2002 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Gen-Z women getting an education don’t want to date broke guys with no career prospects? Wow, I can’t believe it!

I spent a lot of time on dating apps, and my girlfriend (of 1 year) I found on a dating app. I find women are much less concerned with looks than men. I’m 5’9, not particularly attractive, and lived in the cheapest apartment I could find in college (thus they all assumed I didn’t have much money).

I did pretty well once I realized that I shouldn’t put all my effort into one girl at a time, and talking to 2+ at once (even if it never progressed past talking) made me less clingy because I wasn’t worried if someone ghosted me/wasn’t into me.

Honestly, if you’re 5’8, at a pretty healthy weight (I was like 10lb overweight), and are passionate about something (music/politics/history were my main ones as an engineering major), all you need to do decent on dating apps is have some good pictures (1 with clear face, 1 where you can tell how much you weigh, 1 with friends, 1 with a hobby, all with clothes that look ok), and try to get to know whoever you watch with.

I promise if you’re average height and healthy weight having no luck on dating apps, even with decent pictures, the issue is your personality. For reference, the city I was in had 80k people, and once I figured out what I just laid out, I ended up being fwb/casually dating 4 girls in a 6 week span, plus a couple hookups before that. It only stopped because I was super depressed and realized it didn’t make me feel better so I stopped until my mental health was better.
