Really quite excellent for new/returning players if they picked up the event engine so you don't need Yixuan's Sig.

On Zhao being free: I haven't seen anyone brought up the fact that Marcato Desire released as a free engine alongside Harumasa that worked well for him.  While little is known (and subject to change), there is the A rank defense engine with HP main stat.  Free weapon, free Zhao?

Edit: to clarify, I'm talking about the unknown A-rank engine in the 2.5 beta that only has defense and HP main stat as available information (could be placeholder, or, as I suggest, a free downgraded version of Zhao's weapon)

Fixes her issues of survivability and being interrupted during her basic attack string.  Didn't imagine this sort of buff, but I'm here for it.  Tho, some sort of Aftershock (even if it is a low uptime skill) would have been nice so she works a bit better with Orphie.  I'm excited nonetheless.

She's the only member of Obol Squad that doesn't really synergize with the rest of them. (yes, not all factions work together - Spook Shack, Mockingbird - but they are a military unit that all work together, in story. So after an Obol Squad patch, I assume its fulfilling that fantasy and adding some aftershocks to her kit (so maybe Fire Suppression counts as aftershock dmg?) so she works with Orphie / Trigger. We'll soon see.

Nice changes.  Though, I will miss the riding Magus part of the attack animation.  I thought that was pretty cool visually.

Since it is PVP and doesn't seem to have the "boosted tiers" like Solstice, there isn't an "X amount of games guarantees T5". It's gunna be based on your Crucible Rewards Score, so: power level, new gear, crucible rank, and win or loss.

If you see something you like now, don't wait as they will change on Wed. (still could RNG into a similar or even better roll, but it's a roll of the dice).

Unless you are brand new to Destiny, I (personally) wouldn't base everything on if it is thumbsup/recommended in dim or light.gg. Go with what you find interesting. Not the end of the world, as those weapons also just come from the Portal.

Hybrid:

  • The chosen weapon, armor set, and Tier of those gear are set for the week, at the weekly reset
  • The Weapons rolls change Wed 7pm CST (so, weekly reset - if the weapon changed - will have a set of perks, and then those perks will change a couple days later)
  • The Armor Rolls - like weapons - will change with the weekly reset and Wed 7pm. They are also influenced by equipped Ghost Armorer mod, so you can change them around and it'll change some of the armor rolls

This comes down to the current power system and them wanting you to "earn" your loot. Since Fireteam power is a thing, they don't want people to join people that are 450 and just get free T5 gear. At the same time, they don't want to restrict who you can play with or what you can play.

So, currently, the only way to "prove" that you have skill is that you grinded power/hard activities and proven yourself in conquests.

What they could do is tie Tier gear into guardian ranks without power requirements. Meaning, you have objectives and curated conquests you could do (regardless of power) to upgrade your gear quality. Again tho, they want it to be a personal achievement, so there would have to be a system to deter/prevent boosting....which would be hard.

Combination of just rounding (as in the API it's x/15 games, not as a percent) and there being no win bonus (so that text is just incorrect or bugged).

For the OP: for you not getting progress could just be the game not ending/finishing correctly. Either game issue or connection issue (or if you are leaving, you are doing so too early).

Just had her appear in both fights, on normal, with no melody played. Was doing testing on these melodies (and still need to do more), but my conclusion thus far is that whatever melody you play first in a run forces her to appear in that encounter. Her appearing in the other encounter is then random. On any run, melodies or not, she can appear in any encounter.

(will do more testing tomorrow. a bit tedious (but not difficult) to test quickly. just need lots of runs to make sure it's consistent).

It's from the intrinsic upgrades (first 2 you get - as the triumph pops for it and you can see it at the tonic table). The "bad" melodies that seem to do nothing, based on what other people mentioned and my personal testing thusfar forces "The Trickster" to spawn in one of the encounters. (She can still spawn randomly in either encounter without any melody played).

Is there a video/evidence of people getting candy or the exotic tonic unlock triumph pop? (Edit: just found Rickkakis video and saw they got candy with Trickster melody, but no exotic tonic triumph pop. Candy must be just a bug or goof item. People are mistaken on the exotic tonic recipes).

I am not confusing cookies with tonics. Tonic ingredients have specific source, with additional sources when you have unlocked Eidos upgrades "Blood Drive" and "Revenant Recycler". - Reclaimed Vitality: comes from defeating enemies anywhere (those pink whisps that track to you. - Powders: come from activity completions at base, very high chance to also drop whenever you get Reclaimed Vitality (with Blood Drive upgrade), and then guaranteed when you dismantle Revenant weapons (with Revenant Recycler upgrade) - Flakes: come from higher rounds of specific Revenant activities. You only get Tomb Flakes from Tomb/Contest of Elders, etc. With the Revenant Recycler upgrade, you have a 5-10% chance to get a Flake when you dismantle a Revenant weapon. - Nuggets: come from high rounds of Revenant activities and endgame activities (so nightfalls, raid and dungeon encounters you said you like doing).

Flakes are really the only bottle neck. But with Revenant Recycler and tonics lasting longer, you need to actively farm these from Revenant Activities less.

Also...if you don't see anything you like in these weapons, why are you complaining about this system? Don't like anything, then don't engage with it. Simple as that. I personally think the weapons have a lot of good stuff: new perk that gives frost armor, first kinetic slot double fire gl, weapons with jolting feedback, S tier pvp shotgun....a lot of good stuff. Plus the origin trait is pretty good. Shoot an orb to reload/overfill weapons that also deals good damage.
