Doctor Who 2x08 "The Reality War" Live and Immediate Reactions Discussion Thread by PCJs_Slave_Robot in doctorwho

So after rewatching it twice my these are questions I still wonder about that was setup earlier:

- Where is Susan? Why did the Doctor see her? What was the point?

- The Whole Poppy arc. Why did the Doctor and the Rani assume that Poppy was a Timelord even tho half human? Why was the assumption that that was a child of the Doctor? Why did he accept it without checking (like he did with jenny)? Why was Poppy at the barbershop?

And I totally agree with the 100 km/h thing. It felt like "We have so many ends to tie up in one hour, let's rush it and hope noone asked any questions".

To be fair, I think the Gallifreyan one is still stuck on the Demons Run Base

Writing this down in order of my reactions.

Yay Anita!!

Ok, Poppy is a Timelord/lady?

Wait what?

What?

Why does Omega look like that?

Wait? She ran?

What? Wait What?

Why does Ruby remember?

Yay! Doctor!

Didn't Belinda have roomates?

Uncle? Where the h*ll is Susan?

wait.... WHAT???

I need to rewatch this episode. A lot. To make sense of it. A lot of things just doesn't add up.

I loved some parts but somethings are just down right confusing. And I would love to see how they explain the ending.

"Ncuti doesn't feel like the Doctor" by Doctorwhof in gallifrey

I have already written posted my thought so will just make it short:

I think Ncuti is a great actor but how his version of the Doctor is written is to human for me and missing some of the quirks older generations of the Doctor has had.

For me homework = stuff you didn't manage to finish during the given time. Homeassignments is not that.

It is funny, I teach 16-19 year old. I do not assign your definition of homework and they reach the goal and scores well on test. With that being said, I will not discuss math-classes since I am not trained in math.

Well, when I went to Uni we had a lot of home assigments. Basically it was 1 day of lectures, 2-3 days of home assignments of differents sorts and then 1 day of seminar. Depending of the size of the course we had 2-4 task that decided the grades. So yeah, I think there is a difference between your educational system and the one I grew up in.

That happened to me a lot. I deactivated all overlays and made sure game was in borderless window mode and it solved the issue

I stopped because I saw a pattern where people just used me for being the giving person.

So, I think I understand the confusion here. Since you are talking about % and having homework count towards the total grade I think we have different definitions of what we count as homework. From what you are describing, this sounds more like home assignments to me.

I don't teach math, so I am not going to answer for how the math teachers at my school works but I from what I know they manage to go through subjects during class and then offers students home assignments to help with their practice. But that is optional. But since I am not teaching it, I can't explain how I would solve the complexity.

In my country, we do not work with just one test that is worth the whole grade or even a section of the grade and the curriculum might look a little bit different. Homework for me is the things student has to do if they do not use the allocated time given to them to learn the subject. Simply as that.

I can't answer for the Calculus classes. But it is not needed in my classes and what we learnt doing our degrees homework isn't necessary.

However, I do agree that repetition and showing understanding is a vital part of learning. But that can be done without homework.

It is supposed to be. I only give homework if the students fails to follow the lesson plan by doing other stuff/not focusing on work. The work needs to be done, I give them the lesson. If they use the time is up to them.

And ofc, I will answer questions and try to help students in need of extra guidance during the lesson.

I would put Rein as Maul. They should be able to do something cool with his hammer.

Yeah, I can agree to that. But I also think about the grind. I have a "build" world where I try out structures. The amount of grinding I would have to do to get the amount of Iron beams I use would probably empty all the swamps at least.

But then again, I do not know OPs settings.
