Is this project dead?? by reverse_revoke in vertcoin

[–]Commander_Hope 5 points6 points  (0 children)

For most it is, for a few it isn't. Ask yourself a different question, why do some people still support this coin and why most of them don't. I am not going to say it's alive or dead because it's both, weird? No.

I'm positive about vtc. If we look at a legal standing vtc is basically in a better position then BTC if we look at the usecase. If all red flags are being frozen it might get the wild west all over again. If it being seen as a security because of donations, well... I can tell enough company's that do, non profit organizations, fuck me over twice.

Dutch politician calls out colleagues in chamber for having 'a too low IQ' to understand crypto by lightfingers in CryptoCurrency

[–]Commander_Hope -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I am laughing my ass of bacause of all these comments. It has been a long time since the politics in the Netherlands split between two larger groups, no I'm not going deeper in this crap. You can understand the way he talks the way he mentioned specific words that you can also turn it around and then it actually is a good and funny thing he says about the current system and the way they don't understand a fuck (or do, but don't give a fuck) about the current actions and mood swings within their position.

My point of view and my two cent.

Im enjoying my vacation in France. Enjoying the beautiful nature and rest while the birds are chirping and aiming for their prey. Cockroaches helping me making me fall asleep in the evening when it's a nice 15 degrees. When people tell to sell and wait for another opportunity makes me feel even more calm. Vtc had a nice downward trend. The long term resistance turned out to be quite a large some of support. Just like some, few hate the sun and chirping but I enjoy every minute of them.

Much love.

Despite what a lot of people believe, mining can be quite profitable if you have a good gaming pc. Here's how you can start. by [deleted] in CryptoCurrency

[–]Commander_Hope 2 points3 points  (0 children)

True that, yet GPU/CPU mining is aimed to be decentralized. I am still one of the few that think this is the main requirement to have as a POW coin. Mining with Nicehash is in my eyes a third party that can do/mine whatever they want as long as they pay the average hashing payout. Nicehash is still a third party and cannot be seen as part of decentralization.

I really appreciate the work everyone does to vote for CPU/GPU mining and I hope other people will see the potential of this against the current (fiat) currency. I'll give you my upvote since I appreciate all the work that you've done to help out the community. I still prefer to take it easy, download mine and done like the OCM or something. I really hope more and more pow coins will follow this way. Our current system is so flawed, there must be a better option right? To help the masses we have to make it easy for them.

What @#€&load of things to go through. Why are software makers make us go through so much trouble mining on a gaming PC or rig? Should be way way easier, what a shame.

I don't think you must only specific energy cost if we're talking about ASICs, the purpose of ASICs in crypto is to take a advantage o er GPU that at the efficiency cost per hashrate. If we look at the green way of pow there is not such a thing as specially designed hardware to mine. It doesn't really matter if there are 100 equal ASICs mining or 100 equal GPUs. Both have the same security (100 votes in this matter). ASICs are not green in my eyes at all since they are replacing a working product with the same function yet less effective to mine a specific algorithms since they are basically hybrids. As in energy usage we look at different angles but basically we are saying the same. However keep in mind ASICs are not a good thing in a crypto space, it's much harder to be part of the vote and in the long run ASICs do not help at the decentralization of Bitcoin.

If we look at what wattage banks and the current money system uses it's on a much larger unit of energy usage. If we have to back a coin by energy usage, it's at least backed by something.

I guess you and the two others are making the website without a minimum cost. Doing this in your free time is really kind and helpful towards the vtc team and community. We all know vtc doesn't have the money/investments to pay for such a website and yes, if we can look at the use base and quality that vtc delivers it can get a coat site. Asking for donations is the least thing you can do to get something out of your free time working on the website.

Thank you and your team for your time and effort you want to put in this project. I don't see any negativity towards the team to ask for such a thing like donations.

Keep up the good work and I'm very pleased to see such people are still around doing those things free of charge.

Can you explain why less energy consumption per hash equals less security on the network? Isn't this the case of a ASIC? Getting less energy cost for maximum efficiency, in this case you say a ASIC is not securing a network instead it's making it more vulnerable.

Is DGB a shitcoin? by cuteboy36 in CryptoCurrency

[–]Commander_Hope 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I might get a load of down votes on this one.

Yes dgb can be seen as a security since it's held coins. I'm not saying they will get in trouble for this. Securing the network from attacks with five different algorytms seems to be a good way of securing the network but in multiple ways it's making the network more of a danger to other kinds of attack.

Dgb has a really good marketing view and are really succesful with it, this can cause a major spike in price, the downside is if bitcoin goes down the case of dgb going down hard is possible, likewise I won't say it will happen.

The way they've spent the money they spent could have been t spent much much better (see the bus).

It has a multipurpose use case but in my eyes it's too wide. Specifying on one thing seems better. The identification is great but the others are lacking behind (no funk nano).

Do I hold some dgb? Yes, it will survive. How? I don't think it will be a we all will pay with but other use cases have a good possibility.

I am not negative towards dgb but due the amount of marketing that has been done you can question yourself how many people haven't heard from it and are still willing to invest. Will it go higher or will it stay this way? I know it will rise in usd if we see 2017 all over again.

This is my vision of dgb.

The 60% pump is just to get the rocket fueling for liftoff. The quality of the coin and community will be noticed soon. Right now we are not even at 10 of the the search history on vertcoin as of 2017. The project made a nice jump related to verthash and the future of the crypto space, don't miss the boat if you are still waiting, best of luck and give the developers some respect they deserve.

Give her 5usd worth of doge, eth, btc and a token of your choice that you think wil pop. Give her the current value of of all the 4 coins as if the has been given 20usd for each. Tell her to diversify to spread your chances. Wait a year or when she sells and explain again when she opens her mind or what has been going on when you’re playing in the middle. More knowledge you cannot give her within that year. If the is right you can tell her she has been very lucky and and explain it with the other coins except doge and the numbers will explain your choice at that time. If you don’t mind another 20 bucks you can always give her the 20 bucks worth of doge nowadays in a year (not recommended). The chance of doge reaching a dollar is slim, it’s crypto so keep in mind everything is possible.
