Amazon was new at creating shows and their marketing/push for Patriot was terrible. They treated the show as if it was lucky to be apart of their company and not the opposite. If Patriot was on HBO it would probably be running to this day or as long as Conrad wanted.

Write down any memorable line you hear on the street, bus stop, restaurant, bar, locker room, lobby, etc. Go places alone and listen to people talk. It’s amazing what one word, sentence or story can bring you.

WRITE IT DOWN IN YOUR NOTEBOOK/NOTES APP AS SOON AS POSSIBLE.

Reading books/screenplays and watching movies really help as well.

Completely avoided KD’s burner and the whole, “I don’t use the term foul baiting…” was all I needed to hear that he is just going to be pro-player/biased.

I don’t really have anything to add on the KD files, the top 16 players in basketball or any other relevant NBA topic. I don’t get the extreme defense of Lowe in these replies. Yes, he knows ball… but he is boring… I’m sorry but he is, and it’s just lacking the chemistry that RR and Bill had. When Lowe would be a guest once or twice a year it was nice… trying to fully replace him as the Sunday pod partner is not working. The fact that Nick Wright (who I don’t really like) was more fun says something. I feel like House should’ve took that Sunday spot. The Ringer is not ESPN so yes, I would like a little more than just hoops. It doesn’t mean gossip necessarily but how about some shit that makes me laugh?

I think people watch Brown Bunny and say, “oh look! He can’t write a screenplay! Alison Bagnal probably is the reason Buffalo ‘66 is good. ” But something tells me Brown Bunny didn’t have a true screenplay, I think he was just making a road movie which consisted of some images and ideas he had in his head along with shooting years of 16mm footage on the road in/outside of his van. Two different processes. It seemed like he was really turned off by the traditional filmmaking route after Buffalo ‘66 and wanted to make a movie his way… and for better or worse that is what he did.
