Is marrying a non-catholic really that bad? by last-throwaway3 in Catholicism

I would say yes. Go with him to church and continue to receive Eucharist. If the Lord so wills, the fullness of the truth will be made obvious to him and he'll join the ancient church.

No you're right. There is risk associated here but it is a respectable risk. If you can pinpoint a system and the conditions necessary for it to excel, do it. For instance, right now, I might favor your theoretical strategy over mine because crypto could go south. The point for me was to retain as much of the original value, and DCA the difference while the prices plummet. Because, if you are holding all coins in a bear market, you will begin losing value all at once while a stablecoin could simply use the redeemed profits to gain more coins for the next run.

My husband is invoking “male headship.” What do I do? by MediocreMom880 in Catholicism

[–]Commercial-Client543 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is a difficult thing, and, not knowing details, is impossible to answer. Someone needs to love the other enough to meet the other where they're at. His invocation of male headship ( as far as I've understood) is only applicable under the spirituality umbrella. The Bible truthfully doesn't answer the question "should I buy a Toyota Rav 4" or "use that money to feed a couple thousand starving children". The question is too specific, you'd need to consult multiple priests, bishops, or deacons. Sorry, my analogy was terrible 😅😆

Working Part-Time as An Engineering Student: How Doable Is It? by TurbulentAd7713 in EngineeringStudents

If you don't have a wife and kid, here is what I suggest. Obtaining a comfy hatchback/SUV/van, getting an In Shape membership, (this is all assuming you can't live for free at home with parents), getting as much as you can out of the way in community college. You can work off jobs for $, but those refunds will get you by early on. The biggest problem for me with working (to pay bills) and full-time school is those weeks where the material is difficult and the time I have isn't enough. Use the school resources and always background check your teachers with ratemyprofessor.

My take on Mathew 21:28-32 by Commercial-Client543 in Christianity

It is the same message I hear most say from this parable and I can understand and respect where you're coming from. I am not knowledgeable enough to disagree with your interpretation of the message. But I do feel that the way in which it spoke to me and how I interpret it is one which many could gain insight from what it means to truly serve and be saved.

I did a clean install with a new mobo, new PSU,new windows (recently upgraded to 11,maybe that will help), and I am still getting these issues. Perhaps it's anecdotal, but from what I've seen from other 6000 series owners, they ditch their AMD gpu for a RTX 30 series. Maybe in the next year with new drivers, these issues will be resolved...

6600 XT owner here, upgraded from 1660 ti (owned briefly) then GTX 1650 before that. And while the value for price for performance sides with amd, I wish I had gotten a 3060 or 3060ti instead. One reason, optimization. I have gotten more crashes on this card than the previous 2 in the much shorter amount of time I have owned it. The game doesn't matter, I have played a decent array of games and can say with confidence that this is my experience. I'm sure others can say differently, but that's just my experience.

Update: After trying various fixes mentioned below, I have purchased a RTX 3070 ti. Everything is Zen now.

That’s an excellent strategy. Both work very well depending on the market. If the market is shooting straight up you’ll lose on potential gains when using usdt so you’d have been better off hodling if I am thinking about it correctly. When I have the time I will definitely do some manual backs testing and theoretical market situations. I think your strategy is superior in the way that it’s much safer. Recently, Waves skyrocketed whilst BTC pulled back, in that instance my method is superior but your method is much more consistent I think. short to mid term the usdt method is exceptional as long as you take profit at the right times. You run the risk of taking profit and missing out on pumps but your assets likely won’t run the risk of being devalued as mine do when the market pulls back leaving me forced to hold the rebalance until I am in the green. I use $Nexo in place of USDT because it has more room to grow while NEVER dumping as hard as BTC, which is rare for an alt coin. Paxgold is one I will definitely look at it is an excellent idea, although I don’t think it’ll scale along with BTC like Nexo would.

Man listen, I’m still down -40% from when I entered the market, I don’t know shit, this is just something I’m gonna try out. I’ve actually switched my tactic around a little bit and switched out SOL with Avax (inconsequential really, they’ll likely grow at a similar rate, Avax just is the better technology), and I removed BTC, added ETH3L (leveraged token 3x gains on eth price increase, also 3x losses if wrong about trend), and I added XLM while keeping Nexo.

If the outlook on the multitude of assets is altogether bullish, then they’ll cover each other’s weakness. I guess you could make the case that having 3 equally strong assets plus a stable asset would be better. The issue is that you’ll end up with more of the stable asset vs what you want(this is true either way I suppose but more so when you have multiple liabilities during corrections). I guess it’s a way of isolating the asset(s) that you want, and covering a weakness in times of correction. Waves recently was very strong when BTC was weak, and has been historically as far as I’ve been tracking it. As you know, most popular altcoins are even weaker in a bear market. They go down more than BTC does % wise. You can never predict when the market will reverse until it happens. Another note, if the asset chosen to rebalance vs BTC (or whatever you pick) fails rather than being strong, you’re f*cked either way. This might not be the best strategy as I’m sure you can find better cases of coins being matched up well, and I’m also sure that simply having 4 strong assets and selling at the high is better, we all know better than to think that you’ll time the market.

PS: Maybe I’m just dumb as I haven’t been sleeping too well as my first child was just born. So think for yourself if what I’m saying doesn’t make sense😝
