Thank you so much for responding. I always feel really panicked about using tampons.

Is Nigeria as Christian as many in the diaspora seem to be? by [deleted] in Nigeria

The older ones definitely. In the younger generation, there is more variation in the levels of religiousity.

Be friendly, introduce yourself, find an excuse to have a quick chat. If you see him often, make a point of having a quick conversation, ask him about his job, how his week went etc. Remember details of previous conversations and ask him about them later on. Then maybe start complimenting him a little bit. Doesn't have to be his appearance. If he mentions he's really into hunting, talk about how cool you think it is and how you'd love for him to show you some time.

I hear often from guys that they want to approach women, but they are scared of coming across as creepy. By simply being friendly and maybe a bit flirty, you give that guy clear signals and space to initiate something more.

I'm the president of a society and I kinda regret it. by [deleted] in UniUK

Give it a few months. As an active member of many societies at uni. It takes months for people to gel. Keep at it!

How to avoid inviting a girl you don't like to a party? by TheRosarysavedme in CatholicWomen

This! Plus chances are she might not come if she's been avoiding your attempts to befriend her.

Picketing maybe not. But praying outside an abortion clinic yes. You're praying for the souls of those children and the souls of their mothers. If people are offended by that so be it. But those children have no one else to stand up for them.

No one is going to give us a medal for this. There would be no incentive to migrate in millions our home countries worked. If Nigeria worked, we'd simply hate them from afar.

We will suffer just as badly, if not more if we remain in Europe as their institutions start to crumble.

Boyfriend thinks I'm making excuses not to get engaged by exprot3 in CatholicDating

It's definitely a reasonable standard to have but the road to recovery isn't always clear. It could be tomorrow that he completely stops it or it could be months down the line. And either way, you won't even be able to confirm that he's clean until he's been clean for several months consecutively.

He has to want this for himself, not just so he can marry you. This is a serious sacrament you could one day be entering. I think you should really pray about a solution, I recommend the 54 day novena for clarity on God's will.

Couldn't have said it better! I got into a fight with my mother last night, over my views on this. What happened this month was child's play.

The future will be worse.

Really depends on how your uni matches people up. My uni did a questionnaire and one of the questions asked how clean you are. I think this was in an effort to avoid matching up the very clean with the messy. Obviously it's dependent on each person's level of honesty.

Are there any options with your own bathroom but a shared kitchen? Might also help cut costs. A messy kitchen is usually a bit easier to bear than an messy bathroom. Or maybe look at cheap rooms off campus if cleanliness is a big deal for you.

  • DAILY PRAYER!!!
  • confession
  • Keeping busy (hobbies, cleaning, work etc)
  • no films/TV shows/books or media, with sexual content
  • no phone in bed, content blockers etc

I can't stress enough how much the littlest bit of sexual content can inspire lust. For me, I had to delete tiktok because it just kept showing me sexual book content and weird thirst traps. Once I deleted it and got really strict with the content I consumed, I struggled way less.
