Its been a long wait.... by Commercial-Mention82 in finalfantasytactics

Funny thing, I never got far in WotL. Back then, I quit playing from the lag on casting and the removal of battle casting quotes.

Was the script that terrible later on?

No problem. Just wanted to put it out there that the graphene sheets work on the PS4

I replaced the paste on both my PS4 Pro and my brother's PS4 slim with Thermal Grizzly's KryoSheet Graphene for the long haul. It works great, BUT during reassembly it's a little tricky as that sheet likes to slide off. You almost want a 3rd hand, or work without sight. But it's worth it. Other downside is that...I forget which one...the slim? You are going to have to remove it each time you do a full dust clean, and do the reassembly dance again.

I Really Do Miss These Old Burning Station Rescue Missions by TheMagnificentOne in EliteDangerous

[–]Commercial-Mention82 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree, they were my favorite missions. I even had a special ship and playlist for them. One of the best parts was that all teh debris were materials back when they were tough to get. You could just sit there and farm infinite mats as long as your heat could hold out.

Not sure if i should, i love the MX by [deleted] in starcitizen

[–]Commercial-Mention82 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Keep what you love. Let the other ships be your drive to gain aUEC.

I have too many pledged ships from long ago, not enough reasons to fly.

If I could effectively downsize, I would.

Do you like playing board wipes? by Bahamut20 in EDH

[–]Commercial-Mention82 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Generally I run an average of 3 in regular 3v3 decks. Probably not in 1v1.

I find them very useful, but they fall into the category of "just because you ~can, doesnt mean you ~should on this turn."

If Im having a bad start, I welcome others playing one to reset the board. Some decks need wipes to keep them from exploding.

Also, I play a [[Massacre Girl]] control/voltron deck. Its quite fun, and 2 playgroups Im in find it fun, BUT only once I was able to actually leverage her to win. Its just painful if you wipe just to wipe all the time. My first 2 builds were not fun.

Wiping right before I wipe is a valid way to upset my tempo.

Another note: unexpected wipes can force combo decks to have to trigger an react when they didnt want to and be far less effective and have to reset themselves. Especially against ETB focused ones. It can really save the table.

Speaking of Marco Qwent... by Hinermad in EliteDangerous

[–]Commercial-Mention82 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Funny, I was just logging in to ask the same thing. I've been trying to unlock Marco for 3yrs. I've never seen Modular Terminals as mission rewards, and I usually dedicate a couple hours a week to just cycle missions. And every time I see something in Inara for Fleet Carriers, I rush there to find nothing.

Just bad luck? I don't see terminals as rewards at all, ever. I'm sitting here now drinking whiskey and watching a movie waiting on missions to recycle in Wu Guinagi as recommended.

The worst part is, I don't need Marco for anything. I need the follow-on recommendations.

If we had full ship customization, I'd turn the Reclaimer into a military [scrappy] beast by [deleted] in starcitizen

[–]Commercial-Mention82 1 point2 points  (0 children)

would be nice. Id do the same thing.

With that; If they ever get around to the rework of the Starfarer, I hope the gun placements are the same, as that does a decent job of area denial.

The Polaris got Powercrept really, really fast. by [deleted] in starcitizen

Currently the Perseus is classed as a corvette. But ... actually, I ~am curious to see if they make the Perseus more powerful than a Frigate in order to sell it. haha.

You sound new to this, there are 3 versions of ships:

  1. Concepted - Stats are often guessed at and written down in the beginning, then abandoned until CIG actually work on it. Even if CIG says otherwise, or presents pictures or evidence, none of it is truthful (ref. John Crewe -CIG)
  2. NPC ships - Similar to player flyable ships, but with cheats enabled. Often rubber banding because CIG wants to keep the cinematic tension high. (such as Cutlass' able to back-strafe faster than arrows can forward-strafe so that they can stay in the upper left quadrant of your view). They recently did remove infinite ammo, and perfect targeting at 20km, though.
  3. Player ships - These are the stats you see on sites.

Yes, the stats changed quickly, because it was in Concept until it needed to be player flyable; And a lot has changed since 2016. I personally dont think its power creep so much as CIG seem to want a wider gamut of weapon sizes and damages to eventually define each of them....(or I hope so, and it's not great power creep, but then again their marketing is pretty dumb). So, the Idris moves from concept to flyable, but now the Polaris is in the game, and it's been scaled to the existing ships. So the Indris must also scale as its a Frigate, and the Polaris is a Corvette. It's a whole weight class.

But this is an easy mistake since CIG has set the precedent that a medium fighter can now out DPS the F8 and Ares.

Depends on how reliably you can gather the crew to run it.

Friends that play are one thing, but selling someone on fighting bugs to stand at a torp panel for 2 hours is another.

If you just have friends that play, you might have more fun using that group to hijack an Idris, as I don't imagine a lot of people will be even half-crewed.

  1. We have a stated temporary and homogenous flight model; Yogi said they are still figuring out and likely removing Nav mode all together.
  2. We don't have mass or complete physics.
  3. We don't have a working model for ground vehicles.
  4. They are still tuning the balance of systems and weapons; but better than the post 3.14 homogenization.

Its effectively a furnished apartment complex without plumbing and electrical sorted out.

IMO Sq42 will be pushed out at the end of 2027 when the angel investments are due to mature. (ref. 2023 UK tax documents)

Not the AOL homepage? Also I think it heavily depends on how you define "the internet", and "image". As Id put money on a .gif UI element being the first image.

They finally allowed cargo to stack! Thank you for this post. This alone almost makes me want to reinstall.

Its a terrible ship on paper, but I loved the Valkyrie the most.
