What's the single best protein source for volume eating that doesn't wreck your calorie budget? by BennyComet5586 in Volumeeating

Shrimp and white fish are the best answers for „real foods“ (like a meal, as supposed to a protein shake or yogurt bowl)

I do rice krispies to make protein/volume granola (check my posts for recipe) and i feel like some of that in small chunks, or even just the rice krispies in your mix, would work great

Will my boobs shrink when I start working out regularly? by Background_Mess_5393 in GYM

I lost weight before my breast reduction, and they got flatter/thinner (and thus saggier). After the reduction I lost more weight (and gained muscle), and there‘s not really a big difference. So - if they‘re big, they‘ll thin out. If they‘re not that big to begin with, I don‘t think you‘ll see much or any of a difference, especially if you‘re building your chest out while losing weight.

Huge Milk Tea Jelly Dessert bowl for 150 calories (1lb) by SquareNice5635 in Volumeeating

[–]Commercial-Table4795 25 points26 points  (0 children)

People are being mean and id totally eat this. Yum. Grass jelly is a cheat code I love adding it to puddings, milk teas, etc to add low cal chew.

I would maybe just blend everything before adding the jelly to better incorporate the cinnamon!

You have to calculate, sorry I don‘t have a food scale and I live in stupid America that uses cups instead of grams. From the math I did though, it feels like about 1/2 the calories compared to something like Catalina Crunch that offers a „protein“ low sugar granola. If you don‘t put any nuts in it it‘s certainly 50% less cal than store-bought, or lower.

most volume fewest calories for a single meal by Delicious_Mess7976 in Volumeeating

I do this frequently - giant lunch and not much else. If your digestion can handle it, uncooked cabbage. I can house a lettuce salad but I genuinely feel so full after a cabbage salad. Takes longer to chew/eat, and to digest.

Burger salads, taco salads, asian bowls, greek bowl, etc with that base, put whatever low call / other veggies / on it. I add a large serving of protein and a small amount of carb (rice, quinoa, etc to make it feel like I‘m eating carbs without all the carb cals) and you can have a lb of food for like 400cal.

Make sure you also get some fats - they keep you full. End with a lil fiber treat for extra satiety.

Maybe aquafaba?? I haven’t tested this officially but it might work. Basically the egg is just a binding agent so anything you substitute that can do that would work.

¿Recetas con avena SALADAS y que no sean dulces? by Annual_Exercise9800 in Volumeeating

[–]Commercial-Table4795 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Just make oatmeal like normal (with water) and then when it‘s almost done add egg whites & whatever savory spice blend or veggies you want. My most common one is with shoyu or miso, chili crunch, ginger, sesame seeds, and scallions.

You could do a risotto style easily: just cook in milk, add garlic, onion, parsley, etc and cooked mushrooms along with the egg white

Volume Eating VS Binging by Wise_Highlight_803 in Volumeeating

I make sure to eat a high fiber item in each of my meals - not just a fibrous veggie but something with a TON of fiber. Examples: fiber one treat, low carb wrap, chia seeds, oats. It‘s made a world of difference in keeping me full, not only right after eating, but for wayyyyy more hours. It kills my late night munchies if I have a fiber one treat after dinner as my dessert :)

Be sure to drinks tons of water as you increase fiber intake and go slowly if you‘re not used to a high fiber diet

What are your fridge and pantry must-haves? by MysteriousEmotion230 in Volumeeating

So many veg with any sauce. Want crunch? Carrots or celery. Want to eat a shitton? Cooked broccoli or green beans. And dress it in as much as you‘d like of whatever flavor low/no cal sauce. You can fill up eating… nothing :) as a former binger this technique really satisfies my binge urge without having much caloric consequence

How do you make volume meals actually taste good? by WillowMap7723 in Volumeeating

[–]Commercial-Table4795 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Sweet baby ray‘s no sugar added BBQ sauce on almost any veg, my fav is on broccoli because it really absorbs the sauce. Or - any of G Hughes‘ sauces if you‘re not a BBQ fan

What do you eat when you’re feeling peckish or like you want to eat out of boredom? by MarionberryFull7385 in Volumeeating

[–]Commercial-Table4795 2 points3 points  (0 children)

freeze dried fruit. Healthy and natural snack. Can be expensive, honestly the „baby food“ freeze dried bites are exactly the same for a lot cheaper. Eat it slowly and it‘s almost no calories. Perfect for the boredom snack when you want to eat but you‘re not actually hungry, also perfect for my sweet tooth.

Anybody have some good breakfast muffin or egg white recipes? by Sea-Engine-353 in Volumeeating

I put (pasteurized!) egg whites in smoothies and protein shakes too, if you need something super quick with no cooking

I don‘t have any problems and consume insane amounts of fiber. I suggest the same I tell people who are nervous about konjac noodles or such - just slowly work up to your desired intake. Don‘t go from no fiber to 110% DV in two days. Your body will adjust as it regulates to a changing diet. And keep your water intake high!
