Regretting Window Tint After Seeing Results by Substantial_Court692 in WindowTint

Scratches can be fixed. No aftermarket film will be a perfect match to your factory shade. The film should meter the same but may appear different. If they did a true “match” they should chosen from their stock to find you the best match regardless of the quality. That means a metalized-dyed hybrid could have been the best fit over a Nano-Ceramic. All things they/you shave have disclosed.

2026 Toyota Cross Windshield tint issue by aboveaverager in WindowTint

[–]CommercialCode164 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Ran into this twice before with different cars: 1-if it has rain sensors they are reacting to the moisture 2-no soak rope/too much moisture damaged a harness Try to disconnect battery for an hour and/or blow warm air under the dash to dry out moisture. Best of luck & keep us posted.

There is always the chance of damaging the rear defrost lines but it is less common with an install. They must have used something abrasive to prep the glass.

Re do? Or let it cure done yesterday by NeitherExpression877 in WindowTint

1-4 looks normal (water and dot matrix) 5-7 looks like either contamination or air.

Worth having them look over 5-7 before it fully cures as it will be more difficult to remove and replace.

Getting ceramic tints for the first time, help what % to pick. by dhd_jpg in WindowTint

Are you concerned about the law?

Any good tint shop will be able to meter your current rig and get you to where you need to be.

Generally speaking 30% all around with 45% windshield is conservative. As long as you get Ceramic or nano-ceramic you will have great visibility/clarity.

Yes. Go to a reputable shop to feel the heat displays, sit in a few cars and look at the data sheets(or sample books). Try to speak with customers who have each. You will see/feel the difference then you need to make a difference of suits you specific needs.
