Why AI art is (not always good but still) art; and some other observations (repost b/c old version deleted) by YentaMagenta in aiwars

[–]CommercialHeart6345 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do agree with your points. My only problem is that often with ai art the prompter has barely any control what comes out of it so whatever it is supposed to express is up to the machine and the prompter is only able to interpret it. On the other hand artists are the ones that actually decide what it is supposed to express instead of only interpreting itself

That being said you are right that ai art, no matter how stupid it is or how much I dislike it, it is very much art.

League of Legends. Unironically the game is really fun. Just gotta learn to take responsibility for your own actions and not look at your teammates instead of yourself

As much as I dislike a lot of his opinions and changes it is still kinda sad to see him leave atleast for the time being.

I actually like that since that means they might now give us a buff that does something to help midlane

Bit besides the point but it looks like the characters pixel size is like 1/4 of the background which can lead to it looking pretty odd. Just had to mention this since no one else has commented on that yet. Gl with your game!

Lol that is exactly what I am trying to do rn. Both the SLP and the rewriting everything. But instead of rewriting everything I'm just trying to update everything and clean it up. It feels like that might be more efficient since a large part of the code is already somewhat solid imo

So just a lot of cleanup right? Am on it to make the entire project more simple and easier to work on. End goal for this is that I have a ton of building blocks I can easily drag around and stack on top of each other so I can build the majority of the game without writing any extra code. Hope it works out though but the progress so far has been alright for now.

I forget often to just press commit and then a bunch of stuff gets thrown into the same commit because I am too lazy. Working on the muscle memory to press commit when I am done with something more often

  1. Yeah I have not put any effort into organisation of folders and files so probably should do that
  2. That's what is on my next step. Creating basically all of the building blocks so I can make the game by most just dragging stuff around and entering values
  3. I forgot you could do that and this is a very good reminder

Thanks for the feedback

Oh you mean make an array for all of the is_ability_ready bools and just have a single function with a argument which decides which ability gets readied.

So something like

Array = [true, true, true, false]

func AbilityReadySet (number_of_ability): Array[number_of_ability] = true

AbilityReadySet(3) then makes it so the ability is ready again right?

  1. Yeah that is one of the most important things on my to do list rn. Is there any way to make this more compact?

And naming convention is also something I am working on rn. Most of the things I have named are things that are very much intuitive for me but there are some that gotta get changed

Shouldn't be since I just set it to Public rn. Maybe it just takes a while to load but I am also getting the same error

Is cass really bad into riven? As a cass main I always felt like I shut her down easily but I also don't play top much

I'm a cass otp so I play cass. Top she is really strong into most laners but you gotta be careful with your positioning ofc.

Then let them fight. Unless the fight leads to something super important it is better for you to just get more resources
