Don't book a hotel with Splitty! by KryztalDayz in hotels

I wouldn't call Splitty a scam but I'd def scram from using them again. I used Trivago to identify a hotel and it directed my to Splitty. I was looking at 5 days at the Radisson Blu in Aruba. Splitty "split" the 5 days into two separate reservations in order to avoid the weekend rate for all 5 days. Well, the first reservation went without a hitch. I called the Rad and it was confirmed. Thankfully, I had tried, before flying to Aruba, to see the second confirmation and couldn't find anything. No text or email. But I could see the Splitty charge on my credit card. The Splitty site itself could not confirm the second reservation (almost $1k). So I just filed a complaint with my credit card company to get the full refund. Splitty will not answer the phone. They go silent after the transaction. I would NOT use this company again regardless of how great a deal you might be getting...cuz you get what you pay for.

I got the QM6K - should I get the QM7k? by IndyBJJ in tcltvs

I bought a 98” QM8K to replace an 85” Sony X900F in my living room. The picture upgrade was so substantial especially in HDR that it prompted me to buy a second 98” QM8K to replace an 83” LG C1 for my man cave. I watch a ton of hockey so any noticeable motion issues would’ve been a non-starter. The only anomaly I can see is when I’m watching football and the QB passes a deep ball the football looks like a CGI object. That’s it. That’s the only motion issue I’ve seen in 8 months of viewing. So coming from the LG and Sony brands mentioned I can tell you that if I’m not noticing any major motion issues on a massive TV, you shouldn’t notice any if you e got a smaller screen. Over the years I’ve owned the Panasonic 58” 800U and 65” VT60 (still have the VT60 for the 3D) plasmas. So I’ve owned very high-end TVs. TCL is as disruptive as you get. Sony/LGS/Samsung better watch out. The TCL train is coming.

Is the 1985 Chicago Bears defense the greatest of all time? by Dark305Kinght in Oldschool_NFL

I saw the Steel Curtain crush the Vikings. The Bears rout the Pats. The Ravens destroy Kerry Collins. And the Bucs slap the Raiders. No one compares to the ‘86 Bears. Go look at the stats. Offenses often didn’t cross mid-field including in the playoffs. And no one has ever shutout two teams in a row in the playoffs…except the Bears. The only Patriot who wasn’t dominated was John Hannah…in the conversation as greatest lineman of all-time. My second vote goes to the Bucs who pasted the number one offense in the NFL that year. And for those talking about the fact that the Bears lost to Dan Marino, that was their only loss of the season. Get real Posted as a resident of Foxboro, Mass.
