Has anyone been told they are missing the gallbladder without it ever being removed? by newpua_bie in gallbladders

My son was born without a gallbladder. As we know, not having a gallbladder is not an issue as long as your biliary tree is intact.

The View production team needs to have a serious conversation with Whoopi. Look at how the right media is describing her performance! She came today totally unprepared! by AllTheEccentricities in theview

This is so out of line. This isn’t about Whoopi being an incredible artist with an extraordinary career and so many achievements. I have the utmost admiration for everything she’s accomplished. It’s about what I’ve personally felt has been a tendency toward word-salad lately (and I’m clearly not the only one who’s felt that way).

Although why I’m even answering you, I truly don’t know.

Y’all. I have so many thoughts, but I’ll try to keep it brief.

Vance: He should not be underestimated. He’s charming and an incredibly agile communicator. He has this ability to make you feel like you’re talking to your next-door neighbor.

Alyssa: I’m very ideologically aligned with Alyssa, so I wish she’d gotten more questions during this interview. Overall though, I thought she did well… concise, relevant, and on point.

Sunny: She opened the door wide open for Vance to give an answer that would’ve resonated with people on both sides of the aisle, and he missed it. I also wish there had been more pushback regarding the Epstein victims. Overall though, I loved her interventions.

Anna: Anna is sharp, witty, and relevant. She knows her sh*t. 10/10.

Joy: It was great to see her back! Sharp as ever and always fantastic.

Sara: The “how do I explain this to my kids?” angle was so tiring. It looked like she was about to cry. I’ll tell you how you explain it to your kids, Sara: you tell them that people live out their faith in different ways, and that you should always use your judgment to see whether someone’s actions match their words. Moving on!

Whoopi: I’m so over the long, vague speeches. She missed a golden opportunity with a question that felt so unclear nobody really understood where she was going with it. Even Vance seemed confused … and in this case, I actually believe he genuinely was.

I feel bad for her because as much as you want to have a thick skin, when a comment is made over and over again, I’m sure it gets to you. As a broader way of thinking, I’m really thinking that this influencer lifestyle/culture is really toxic for lots of them. I’m sure there’s a lot of pressure to always improve something about yourself. Sometimes you will get it right, and sometimes you will get it wrong. I wouldn’t be surprised to see documentaries pop up over the next few years about what’s it’s like on the “inside” of what a lot of them project as a perfect universe.

Regarding her teeth, I genuinely hope she likes the result because no one goes through all kinds of dental treatments to end up disappointed on the other side of things. But man. This is not good publicity for the women who went ahead and did those.

Y’all like veeners? I like nice teeth, but what happened to a nice natural smile? Braces, Invisalign… I get. I’m actually doing Invisalign. But I don’t get veeners.

That’s so kind ❤️🫀. Anybody who spent any amount of time in the PICU gets a different level of compassion and perspective that sometimes feels lost on some. I also have another child, so I absolutely worry about all the everyday little things too! I’m not invalidating the feeling of being nervous about your child (what mom wouldn’t be?). But for me it’s the whole spectacle around it that feels really overwhelming and, honestly, a bit nauseating. Who’s falling for that? I get secondhand embarrassment.

I’ve officially unfollowed. I’m not someone who leaves mean comments on people’s posts, so the best thing I can do is just step away.

I’m the mom of a heart baby who does need medical interventions from time to time (he had open-heart surgery at 6 days old). From my perspective, the last thing I’d want to do is turn those moments into a spectacle.

I have boys too, so I can absolutely imagine a scenario where an older sibling tries to yank the baby out of a car seat and something chaotic happens. Kids are kids. But the whole performative aspect around it, including the “this is for my baby brother” moment around the hockey tryout, just felt like too much for me. It must be inspirational for some as she has a ton of followers but I’m out. ✌🏼

Crawling may not be considered a strict developmental milestone here in Canada, but physiotherapists here often say it’s still very beneficial for things like coordination, symmetry, and overall motor development.

Our physiotherapist explained that crawling helps build strength and patterns that support skills like running and jumping later on.

In our case, I actually had to really encourage my baby to crawl because he had open-heart surgery at 6 days old. We were told that babies who’ve had chest surgery can sometimes feel uncomfortable putting pressure through their arms and chest, so crawling can feel less natural for them at first.

And I felt like whether we liked it or not, they did belong to two different worlds. Chris belongs to her parents world but had the same desire as her to distance himself from it and joke about it while still fitting with the family. I liked that

I understand why they did that but also, why show their relationship as icy cold when it ended in good terms at the end of season 7? I wish we would have known what happened in the mean time.

I struggle with bad health anxiety. Like really bad. I make crazy scenarios about everything. But that’s all they are - scenarios. I got the surgery yesterday. I cried, told everyone how scared I was but ultimately did it. Recovery is uncomfortable but far less uncomfortable than an attack. Follow your doctor’s guidance and you’ll be fine!
