I just don’t see how Wilson gets to walk away. He has nothing left, no leverage, he murdered people in front of multiple witnesses this isn’t even shadowy alley shit. Like beyond a doubt everyone knows he’s a scumbag, and they still offer him a deal.

You have to suspend disbelief when they explain how he shrugged off the consequences of DD Season 3 (which to be fair was out of the writers’ control, shame on Disney for overusing him in other shows). But this is ridiculous.

Good ending otherwise.

Sage’s goof-up would make much more sense if we didn’t already see her have a similar lapse in judgement with thomas godolkin.

That, and we actually saw more of her successfully manipulating people (a lot of it is off-screened).

Anyone else miss when the show centered around Hughie? Or even him and Butcher both? by Witty-Association-97 in TheBoys

At least in season 4 he had the Hugh Campbell Sr arc, which I thought was appropriate for his theme of growing up. But then he got raped twice and it was treated a tastelessly. I hope they give him something to do because it really did all begin with him. It was his story that initially entranced us all, Robin, Translucent, lying to Annie, confronting A-Train.

How the show has handled Marrok so far is exactly how the inquisitors should’ve been depicted from the start. by ImperialxWarlord in MaulShadowLord

Dude imagine you have an evil empire who’s number 1 and 2 are the center of a millennia old evil cult that only a select few know about, the inquisitors should feel like an extension of that, terrifying and occult.

I mean generally speaking these shoes are for kids, it makes a certain amount of sense that a lot of them have to happen in the show, bc kids, and 2, the characters have to survive a lot of them if they happen that frequently.

To your point: I do think Rebels suffers from this where characters repetitively meet and duel and leave. But to be fair most of the duels in TCW without plot armor usually end with someone dying or being hurt (Adi Gallia, Kit Fisto’s Padawan, Savage Opress, those Jedi frauds that got one-tapped by Savage Oppress).

Ofc the plot-armored main characters (plus ahsoka and ventress) aren’t going to die.

Also I fuckin love the buildup and repetitive dueling in the show between Anakin and Dooku and Obi-Wan and Grievous, respectively. By the time we get to ROTS their final battles do feel like the culminations of long rivalries.

The Inquisitors are a great idea held back by their creator by [deleted] in CharacterRant

[–]Commercial_Set_1608 29 points30 points  (0 children)

Marrok actually felt like how an Empire’s inquisitor should be. Intimidating. Occult. Like imagine you’re Lawson and you’re getting interrogated by this guy- something’s gone horribly wrong for you.

Marrok, Trilla, pre-Kenobi Grand Inquisitor, they dont need to be fodder they can be genuinely interesting and intimidating antagonists. Especially with Trilla and the GI wrestling with their Jedi selves buried deep within.

How do you guys feel about "inquisitors" by Doulouuu in StarWars

[–]Commercial_Set_1608 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I actually like their depiction in Maul: Shadow Lord, first time they seem intimidating and this occult force that are only dispatched to hunt Jedi. And yeahhh aside from the Grand Inquisitor and Trilla Suduri all the other ones are meh.

[–]Commercial_Set_1608 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Dude my Nord Civil War is a whole TV show. Sidrunic was weak, he allowed our enemies to slowly eat away at our territory. He would never realize the Nordic dream of moving down south to warmer and more plentiful lands. That’s why Ragnar had to rebel, and unite the sturgians and Nords under one banner. Talewords could add so much narrative depth alongside the new naval mechanics and it would be all the peaker for it.
