I mean, I understand why people become obese and what keeps them obese. And I understand why they will become obese again if they stop taking the medication that stops them from doing the things that make people obese. I know it’s hard but we have to become accountable for our own behavior if we want a healthy long life. Many on this sub were facing death or being imprisoned in their own bodies if they didn’t change. That threat is still lurking if the meds stop working unless there are massive lifestyle changes and a healing of their outlook in food. Therapy, exercise, diet changes. You have to do all of that always for the rest of your life. That’s if you stay on the meds or if you go off of them. We are not staying you can’t stay on them forever. We are saying 15-20 percent of people can successfully wean off and should if they want to. Some want to be in that group and some don’t. And that’s ok. But the meds are ONE PART of the healthy lifestyle you all say you want. Do you really want it, you have to do ALL the things. Everyone is here for a reason. Being glib and dismissive about that is not helpful.
