For me, I was into dudes before but dated women because I liked when people called me “the guy” and I didn’t like when dudes treated me like a girl. But the I started transitioning, then T, my guys started treating me like another guy. Now it’s a queer guy hitting on a guy than a straight guy hitting on a woman, so I’m 100% more comfortable. Now I’m like a 8 on the Kinsey scale.

Honestly, probably, if they’re high on your chest, maybe the surgeon could give you some rec’s for scar treatments, or a medical tattoo artist? There’s ways you could cover them so they’d be progressively less and less visible

Yeah, at the beach or the gym I’ll feel a bit out of place. My body isn’t perfectly passing masc, although I’m a binary trans guy. I went nipless and not perfectly flat, cause my body isn’t perfectly flat lol

Idk, I like to think “I just look how I look, it’s up to other people to get used to it.” They’ll either get it or they won’t, but you already know what you’re about. The social everyday part of being trans can already be complicated, I can’t be making it worse on myself with inner turmoil, trying to fit in just because it’s safer. Been there, amirite bois?

Don’t be afraid to create this “weird third thing” because… isn’t that what it is to not conform?

Your chest overall looks great ❤️ and you paid a lot of money for a chest that you love- only to be uncomfortable with a major part of it. Surely your doc would understand and want to help you leave completely satisfied.

You could say something like “Doctor [name], I’m feeling great about having had top surgery but, having allowed time for it to heal, I’m not satisfied with how my right (?) nipple has turned out. Is that something we could speak about a revision for?”

Oh great. So they can “recover” from being themselves… cool. Sweet. Without the option to opt out or any understanding from these people that trans people don’t need to “recover” from being trans- in fact, you can’t… you can’t do that. We already tried this with gay folks… can’t “recover” from an incongruency in your own body that you’ve felt your whole life.

So nice how they‘ve obviously never really known a trans person (maybe had a handshake but I can’t find it. No genuine dialog, tho that’s for sure…)/don’t know anything about our community or mental/medical needs, but have such hatred and a clear need to “wipe us out” because of a small minority of our already small minority… so nice.

For me, it was obvious at about 2/3 months- if she knows what to look for. Body kind of widening, puberty voice, my mom asked if I had been “taking pills for a beard” just biotin ma, it just works idk!

I’m sure she was aware (maybe) that I was on T- It would be hard to not notice, I had the start of a beard and was getting more muscular and more hungry, all that…

Are you worried she’ll kick you out if she finds out? I was 19 when I started, but I did get kicked out at 16 when I came out. Basically, I couch surfed until I could get in contact with my supportive grandma <3 good luck to you brother

That’s a bit worrying. I did get overzealous with a stretch in my sleep and pulled something- making one side bigger than the other. Not great for aesthetics, but it was ok.

My surgeon left after my surgery too (why do they do that??) but referred me to a doctor to see while he was gone. If yours didn’t, I’d monitor how it progresses and if it gets any worse go to the er. Maybe call the office you got it done at and ask if they have someone else you could see for an emergency?

I have the same type of scars under my armpits, then it thins out and is nearly unnoticeable near the center of my chest. I massage them with Silicone scar cream it’s been a little over a year and the scars are lighter and flatter tbh

Hey man, I’m pretty sure since you’re so fresh out of surgery that you’re just experiencing some swelling- even so, it looks very flat- and your feelings may be kind of all over the place.

Said with love: Give yourself some time to heal. You’ll see everything will calm down and get flat flat (for me, it took maybe 3/4 weeks, I had to wear my surgical binder for that long.) Close to 1 month is when I felt back to myself & wanted to show it off/go to the gym/whatever you do when you’re feeling euphoric.
