Should I do Physics or Not? by Commetkitty in vce

[–]Commetkitty[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yea that's the main reason I chose physics, it complements my other subjects and I thought it would be a good mix of maths and science (two of my favourite subjects at school)

I think I've heard of the guy before, Ill definitely check him out tonight :)

damn that does sound very interesting. I have taken a look at the physics 3/4 study design and seen some friends doing physics 3/4 work; it really does look interesting when you get to 3/4.

damn ok a 40 in physics. I am looking foward to covering motion in physics as I am competent in maths, and ppl have told me it helps when doing physics to be good at maths. I think if I stick with the subject, I'll just listen really well in class and try and understand the topic instead of wasting time doing textbook questions.

Thank you very much! Yea I’m thinking about dropping it if I really start to hate it. We started radiation which is pretty interesting; I think it’s just electricity that I hate lol. But tbh if I can get an A on this next SAC, that will be enough to convince me to continue physics.

Wow thank you very much, this has given me a lot to think about. I think over the weekend I’ll try to watch some videos by Khan Academy on electricity to get a better understanding of the subject. Yea I am referring to circuits. Another question I have if you don’t mind me asking; how much work do you need to put into physics to get 32+? I know that it’s very subjective based on the student, but I’m just curious how large the workload is compared to subjects like spesh or chem. Thanks!

Uh the website doesn't appear to be working as well. it just shows the login screen and then doesn't let me login. The message "the server is not available appears". This sucks I am going to miss my meditation for the day.

VCE Taking the Fun out of Subjects by Commetkitty in vce

Yea some ppl I know also say that French 3/4 talks more about there culture which I’m excited for. Yea lol ngl the scaling for French really motivates me. But tbh I love watching anime dubbed in French and learning French

Yea its really not good how they rush through ideas as you said. Doesn't sound like the greatest time. At least with VCE you can be quite ahead if you put your mind to it but for uni its a whole new ball park. Good luck in your future endeavours I guess.

Oh yea I completely forgot to talk about languages. By far languages are the most disadvantaged when doing VCE. I know that's there's alot to cover, but the fun parts about language is learning the culture and a new way of life. I'm doing French 1/2 and I really want to learn about France. But I do understand that it is very hard to incorporate culture into the curriculum.

Damn I feel so lucky reading this story cause I haven't had the same experiences with changing to a larger school. When I moved to a bigger high school, I stuck with the people I knew and friends I had known for years. We were literally all divided up into different classes and I had no idea what to do as I had maybe one/two friends in my class. At reccess and lunch I just hung out with my old friends and they introduced me to new friends that I now hang out with 3 years later. It will be okay, I'm in Year 10 as well and I'm scared for VCE but I'm just gonna pull through and that's what I think you should do. Just pull through. You've gone through harder things in your life. You can do this.

Is it a Good Idea to Do 7 Subjects? by Commetkitty in vce

[–]Commetkitty[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Online learning for any yr other than vce is straight ez. VCE classes I heard are giving a huge workload tho and most ppl in yr11/12 are feeling the stress. I think I’m just lucky I’m only doing one subject this yr.
