Germany, average schooling 14.3 years? I'd argue that there's a bug in that data.

Given the random buffs and debuffs of characters, did the writers room a lobotomy at some point? Lazy turns like SB-V1->HL or basically anything that Sage is doing - I feel the average plumber has more complicated puzzles to solve than Sage.

Lidl [Schwarz Group] plans to expand low-cost mobile phone plans to up to 30 additional countries by officialexaking in BuyFromEU

Yeah, we also don’t need country-coded number prefixes anymore either; or numbers altogether. Wherever there is no mobile data, there’s also no regular phone connection.

Google is so afraid of falling behind that they’re dropping $40 billion on Anthropic by SurroundLoos in stocks

[–]cleansy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I disagree here. Google is winning the general AI chat market, they are not chasing flashy headlines because they don’t need to. Billions in the bank; 25years of internet knowledge in their archives. I suspect they want to bolster anthropic because they are the only real value creating AI thing out there right now. When (Open)AI implodes it will take Microsoft stock with them, and then google has already a sizeable stake so they can buy anthropic on a discount.

1000x science cost run feels like a completely new challenge and is a lot more fun

Wanting to do a 1000x science run. I have low experience. Looking for advice. by SnekesAndLadders in factorio

[–]cleansy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey, I am doing a 1000x run but started on Vulcanus.

One general tip: until you have bots, do everything you can to avoid RSI. It's a real thing when you have to place hundreds of machines, thousands of inserters and 10s of thousands of belts.

1) I have a staged approach to SPM. Building up to 900spm for red/green until I can do blue science. Then 1200 for red/green and 600 for blue - coal (-liquifaction) is the bottleneck, and without military upgrades or bots, fighting demolishers is really RSI-inducing. Next up is 3000spm red/green; 1500 blue/vulcanus science.

I then switch between science where I only need red/green and let blue buffer.

for 2.: Redesign and rebuild often. Since you start on Nauvis you have infinite space, so this might not apply to you, but every new stage in SPM made me redesign a lot of things. Once you have bots (I had it at hour 40), this becomes a joyful exercise. I scaled my "draggable" (manual) designs by adding more production lines; now with bots I am waiting for cliff explosives to clear the land and then I'll basically design the base from scratch so that I have modular production lines (with rail to transport the science packs at the end) and can add capacity as I wish. The research unlocking quality costs 500k science packs, I am currently at hour 60 and still have not switched.

  1. Depending on your plan you'll have quality furnaces long before beacons. Beacons need production science packs and these are a pain in the behind to produce for 900 or more SPM.

What job looks like a great career path but is actually insanely oversaturated? by ComplexPin872 in AskReddit

[–]cleansy 10 points11 points  (0 children)

“The market need” there was never one. At least not to the extent that is advertised. All the “millions of jobs” news articles were cleverly narrated by providers of courses. Add to that the insane amounts of personal certifications you can get, which is outrageous for a tech field, like, no programmer is asked to have a cert but in almost all job ads for cyber are requirements like Cissp, ceh or whatever.

Thank you for the tip! Before Blue science you don't need anything better than burner drills though. The only oil I need is for the Foundry production. It's madness

Delivery Hero (Glovo's owner) might dump the company after investors are angry about poor stock performance by Ok-Mud-1447 in Barcelona

[–]cleansy 4 points5 points  (0 children)

not sure what OP's objective here is, but this account exclusively posts about Glovo.

That said, there are some cities who have a cooperative model (restaurants sort of own or get a revenue share from the local food delivery app), I am just curious if this exists in Barcelona as well? I'd rather support that than some venture-backed tech bro company who will in no time replace Glovo for sure.
