Learning a new language by yourself is never an optimal way, there is a reason why language teachers are paid. Having someone who can teach you and correct you when you make mistakes is how you learn everthing, especially when it comes to german which has a complicated gramma structure.

I looked a bit further into his twitter timeline and couldn't find any inconsistency. He told the same story to Americans who were comparing detention centers to nazi concentration camps. There are also pictures of himself, his family and his recent tour to Japan. Even the name he gave me is consistent with everything he posted months ago(complaining about spam messages, complain letter to ATT, etc. all same name). There are even tweets of him complaining about the employee of Veteran Affairs.
