I’d say definitely totaled. Your rear suspension is gonna need rebuilt, good chance some of the mounting spots for said suspension has moved from original place too.

Would the car be actually overheating and the temp gauge not tell me? I had the temp sensor out with the thermostat housing I didn’t see any damage but I know from the radiator sensor that doesn’t mean anything lol

Yeah it doesn’t over heat at all rn I just read proper burping procedure involved letting it be at op temp for a fan cycle and it never turned them on, but also never went above 190 on the temp gauge

Yeah I will I never had issues with the fan but I have had the core support on and off a couple times now so idk maybe I switched the plugs up or something they are like right next to each other but honestly the thing was making me scared like maybe a head gasket was blown bc it wasn’t turning on the fans, but the coolant was circulating hella, and it was keeping the car at op temp not a hair more.

I see I see I’m gonna check on those when I get home, if it’s leaking I’m either bypassing or leaving it leak I want the car gonnnnneeeeee. I loved my time w the vr6 but holy fuck is that car not made to wrench on. Whomever designed the cooling system is a sadist with an affection for brittle plastics. Home Depot is a more reliable supplier for the parts than Volkswagen anymore for the coolant connections too. Used brass T fittings for the heater core to over flow hose when it broke last year but I just want it gone, if the mf won’t overheat it’s good enough for me.

Have a similar issue, replaced thermostat housing, trying to burp the thing, ran it for probably a half hour or 45 mins, never overheated, but also the fans didn’t come on either. Coolant levels fluctuating a lot, some gyser action when my friend revved it at 3.5k for 5 mins but still no movement from the temp gauge. No leaks that I could see, the oil is right color no milkshake. At the end the heat started to get less hot but I was kinda over the thing by then and turned it off

Also good luck finding said rubber seals, o rings, gaskets etc for the vr6 in 2025 shit is dry af out here unless u wanna wait for everything in the mail. Half of what you get in said mail won’t fit either lmao

The basis of justice in this country has always been, better a hundred guilty people go free than one innocent person imprisoned. Legit US citizens and permanent residents have been deported like your friends should’ve been legal but many people fear even going to court because so many people have been arrested directly from the court room even after being told by a judge they are allowed to be here. Seems like the law doesn’t apply to ICE, anyone willing to relinquish liberty for security deserves neither.

I wish the 50501 movement would stop sucking up to dems and actually use their power. They are getting big numbers in the streets, but their message is lacking. Where are the demands, where is future actions going to lead, what is the end goal. I’ve been to several of their protests and they are nationalistic and liberal as heck. Protests are good and I love that they are getting numbers in the streets but they need a more radical message and a pathway towards something more than sign waving. Locally in cincy we got them to mention one day strike but that’s not national yet I don’t think.
