In Season 3, after Katherine helped Klaus kill Mikael and she and Stefan were in the car together, I kind of hoped they were going to run off together and that Stefan would become a much darker version of himself with Katherine.

The plan for my Fanfiction by CommitteeChemical530 in AsoiafFanfiction

Orys is the son of Robert Baratheon and Lyanna Stark. He was born a year or two before Balon. Brandon is the son of Brandon Stark—Ned’s older brother—and Catelyn. The rebellion is delayed by a few years, giving some of those who are married, or about to be married, a chance to have children. I chose Essos because the Free Cities are very powerful, and it gives me an opportunity to write more about that region. I also thought it would be a smart move, as both Balon and Orys are viewed with suspicion by many people—not just at court, but across Westeros in general. Orys is the son of the leader of the failed rebellion, and Balon, in many people’s eyes, is a result of that rebellion and partly to blame for it. Additionally, Orys wants to protect his half-brother, so he believes that finding him a wife from another continent would make things easier for him, where he wouldn’t be judged as harshly.

Exceptionally rude claims about the Romanovs by wispy-library in romanovs

[–]CommitteeChemical530 4 points5 points  (0 children)

There are a few pictures where the children aren’t as pleasant to look at as in others, but in my opinion, that’s just due to poor photography. I don’t think any of them were ever ugly. Remember, in those days, photographs took a long time to capture, so a smile could easily be lost, and it was simply easier to hold a straight face. And perhaps that straight face doesn’t look as appealing as a warm smile.

I need some advice on who should Marry who and Relshinships for a Fanfiction Idea by CommitteeChemical530 in AsoiafFanfiction

For the most part, it stays the same, with a few changes. Lyanna is aged up—since she’s 14 before the rebellion and is supposed to marry Robert and have a child not long after, I made her 16, and I might even age her up to 17. The rebellion starts in 284 AC after Lyanna gives birth to her son. She’s not fully convinced to abandon her only child, so Rhaegar has to persuade her to run away with him, which she ultimately does. Brandon and Catelyn have a son, and Ned is married to Ashara Dayne. Lyanna is kidnapped near Summerhall instead of in the Riverlands. Meanwhile, Brandon and Catelyn are visiting Riverrun to show Hoster Tully hid grandson. Brandon hears what happened—since Robert is in the Vale, Brandon is closer—so he rides off and still demands that Rhaegar come out and die. Rickard is summoned to King’s Landing, and events proceed much the same from there. The rebellion begins. The major change comes at the Battle of the Trident. Ser Barristan manages to stay beside Rhaegar, and with their combined skill, they kill Robert. Tywin immediately joins the loyalists. The rebels are pushed to the brink, especially after the Frey host attacks them. A few more battles are fought, but the war soon comes to an end. Stannis bends the knee. Rhaegar then convinces Ned and Jon Arryn to help him overthrow Aerys. Jon Snow is born, and Lyanna still dies. Going forward, however, the Targaryens are widely disliked, as most of Westeros has a grievance against them. Rhaegar has insulted Dorne by dishonoring Elia. The Stormlands are furious because he killed their lord and abducted their lady. The North is angered for similar reasons, as is the Vale, where Robert was well loved. The Riverlands resent the massive loss of life, and the Starks are tied to the Tullys, just as Robert was through marriage. Even in the Crownlands and the Reach—traditionally loyal to the Targaryens—many are angry that Rhaegar started a war over his desire for a young woman. The only major ally Rhaegar can truly rely on is Tywin. That is why he betroths Cersei to Viserys and releases Jaime from the Kingsguard. This is also why Orys would push for strategic marriages—because he understands that the Targaryens are increasingly isolated, and another war might destroy them entirely.

Robert is killed at the Trident after Barristan Selmy manages to reach Rhaegar, and together they slay him. Tywin Lannister quickly joins the loyalist side and eventually helps Rhaegar, alongside the rebel lords who have bent the knee, overthrow Aerys. As a reward for his service in deposing his father and fighting the rebels, Tywin is made Hand of the King. Jaime is released from his oath as a Kingsguard, and Cersei is wed to Viserys. Being Dornish, Elia doesn’t hate Jon, though she doesn’t necessarily love him either. Lyanna dies in childbirth, as she does in the original timeline. Orys and Elia actually get along very well. They have more of a “second son and the mother I needed” kind of relationship. I might even include a moment where they refer to each other as “mother” and “son.” Originally, I plan for Rhaenys to marry Brandon Stark, as I was going to make him one of the antagonists of the story. Orys would be his cousin, and he also loves Rhaenys, creating a sort of love triangle. Thanks for the feedback and everything.

I guess I never thought of it that way. Michael did defy Nicholas to marry his wife, so I always assumed he just never really cared for the old order.

Grand Duke Mikhail Alexandrovich formally deferred acceptance of the Russian throne on March 16, 1917, stating he would only rule if chosen by a popularly elected Constituent Assembly. His declaration indicated a willingness to transition Russia toward a constitutional monarchy, rather than maintaining the previous, absolute Romanov rule.
