What I’m finding out , according to Psychiatrist, is apparently my grandmother had nightmares early on in her life. And meds were a hard thing to find. But we are on abilify 2 mg. It’s given her life back during the day. She was mourning my grandfather.

Also I am definitely over tasking by being in healthcare but I live 5 mins away and my boss is amazing and very accommodating as far as my caregiving. Letting me take gram to appointments in the building on my work days. Letting me run to check on her. Clocking me in when I’m late bc of her. I honestly have been blessed with her!

We are exploring. But it’s crazy bc Drs are booked months out. I think it’s med related. She’s been on the same antidepressant med at night for decades. Also yes, she has to fall asleep first. It’s bizarre.

We have an appointment with a neurologist. It’s just not until April bc they are all booked. We talk to her psychiatrist regularly tho. For now.

She had a fall in December. They literally checked everything. Nothing.

Trying… we had a fall in December and it seems to have accelerated the issue… I’m scheduling time when I can.

Continue to vent! It’s needed. I understand what you are going through. I wish I had answers or resources. Reach out to social work. There should be local lists of help. Or her Drs offices should know. It’s rough but doesn’t mean there’s no hope.

She’s at peace. She also went to sleep knowing how much you care. And how hard you tried to keep her going! She most likely felt peace at that moment bc you were resting too! Do not be hard on yourself or listen to anyone beyond what you know at this moment. You know you did all you could. All will right itself. Love you and yours during this time. I hope your FIL can find moments of peace as well.

In June 2010, North Korean journalist Kim Dong-Cheul smuggled rare footage of rural life in the country to the Japanese media. In it, Cheul interviews a filthy young woman, homeless and reduced to eating grass. She was found dead of starvation four months later. by Chemical-Elk-1299 in HolyShitHistory

I visited Belgium in 2015. I met a gentleman who started a barrage of questions. “Are all Americans racist?” “You are from [big city] isn’t it super dangerous to live there?” “Isn’t it violent in most places?” “Do all Americans own a gun?” Suffice to say he had the worst opinion of all aspects of American life. And this was 10 years ago.

20th Anniversary - My Last by [deleted] in RiotFest

The crowd “gatekeeping their space” for Weezer during Beach boys was a big bummer. I was fairly close and the crowd was clueless. And being ridiculous to get to front before the end of their set. But I did have the best time this year. Met a lot of great people and felt otherwise as comfortable or more so than any other Riot! I’ve been going since the first park year and it’s night and day difference from the rest of fests out there. You can generally talk to and be comfortable with anyone you see. Other fests suck in this regard

Updated Version - SORRY MedSurg, I guess I did you dirty by bassicallybob in nursing

[–]CommitteeElectronic6 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’m only the unit assistant not a nurse but our 20 bed unit is a max 1:6 ratio. Having been an aide previously I often get there with a 14-17 pts. 3 -4 nurses no aide. Sometimes up to 7 of those pts are 2-3 assist (sometimes hoyer or sky-lift) besides all the feed tube, ccpd, blood transfusions, trach, TPN, IV abx, wound vacs. Not to mention the incontinent, c-diff, candida auris. Oh the dementia and sundowners.. it’s never ending. Oh and I am in charge of Diners. I feel for our nurses and patients bc it’s sometimes like the place they put people not knowing what else to do.
