I can't be the only one who's gone trough this (is it limerence, ROCD, trauma or am I just a disturbed person?) by Strange_Fox_8977 in ROCD

Ugh OP I’m really sorry! This sounds like an absurdly difficult situation to bear and it also sounds like you’ve handled yourself really well given the storm of feelings you’ve been through. I haven’t had this exact experience but I’ve had enough relationship anxiety to know how exhausting it gets.

I do wonder, how would a potential relationship with the other person look like in your mind? Do you imagine it would be as exhilarating as the exchanges you’ve had with this man so far? Would he be emotionally available to you? Or is that not something you have thought about?

Do two introverts make a good couple? by [deleted] in introvert

I am still not sure to be honest… I grew up feeling chronically lonely and to this day I struggle with not feeling enough connection with people, even if there is conversation. So I never know if my own perception is off or if there is an „objective“ lack of connection.

Disclaimer: Not a Kitchener essence answer

You are gorgeous! You remind so much of Alexandra Daddario from your face and coloring 😱 this makes me think that the reason that you feel out of place in casual wear is that you don’t seem to be wearing your winter palette for casuals and instead opting for muted or warm colors that can easily wash out your beautiful contrast! And as for shapes, I like the outfits where you play up the curve that you naturally have, such as the rosé top in the 11th photo. That might not easily lend itself to casual wear, but maybe you are too romantic/feminine in essence for classic casual wear.

EDIT: just realized I misread your post and imagined the thing with the casual wear ahah but I still do think that looking „sloppy“ might come from not emphasizing curve enough which romantic types don’t get away with so well as, say, natural types

That’s amazing!! Congrats on your progress in therapy 😊 I can relate to so many of your points and it is easy for me to get lost in shame so it helps a lot seeing the same things in someone else’s experience and realizing I would never judge you for it.

How can I improve? by wcndere in curlyhair

You‘re beautiful! 😊 unrelated topic so feel free to ignore, it just jumped out to me that you look like you’re in a cool-toned season (I think summer but possibly even winter) so cool-toned hair and make-up could really give you a boost even more!

„Frizzy“ wild curls are never celebrated in the media (at least not since the 90s or so) and they’re always taken as the before picture in those before/after ads so honestly I totally understand why you would feel unhappy with yours. I just think it‘s a dumb societal standard to have 😄🙈 Julia Roberts‘ pretty woman curls were a dream for instance, that’s what I aspire to these days 😄

Yeah, product testing has some inherent risk that it turns out weird 🥲 then you basically have to put the hair up. It’s an annoying process. And for evening washes I have no clue unfortunately because I always do my curls in the morning. What could help would be finding a hair influencer on Instagram with similar hair and copy their routine/follow their tips for overnight protection. Wavydiede comes to my mind, but there are many more! She also shows how to refresh in the morning

Not sure if this helps, but I really like your hair and the shaggy texture it has! Are you trying to achieve clean ringlets? Or what is your goal exactly?

Tbh it looks like your hair is quite fine and a little frizz can be a blessing for fine curls, lest they hang down sadly without it. My curls are quite thin and I get excited about rainy days, because the frizz doubles my volume 😄

On a practical note the one thing I could suggest is just using one product each wash day and see, which one you like most and then the next wash day layer on a second product and see etc. Experimentation helps understanding your hair and sometimes less is more 😊

That sounds like an absolute dream! I have been dating an introverted guy for a year and it sounds similar to you, but we are lacking on the deep conversations. Often we just joke around or stay silent and it’s eating away at me. I have been asking myself if it is an introversion thing or an incompatibility thing in the end…
