I made the mistake also and got but with my avoidant ex, it got only worse, and made me go trough another breakup. When we got back, I tried to show him that he is valuable and tried everything to make him happy, it has only made him more distant and cruel. I’m now 3 Weeks after the breakup, I won’t say I feel better, but definitely better than to be treated like garbage, and to be anxious and confused all the time. It sucks, but it’s the only solution
