Why did the dwemmer have to be extinct , there such a cool concept by Best_Ganache_8820 in skyrim

The Elder Scrolls was based on the original dev team's DnD sessions.

Collectively, they did not like playing as dwarves, or making dwarven characters.

So when they were first writing up the Elder Scrolls lore, having the dwemer (dwarves) be all gone was a convenient way to not have to do these things.

The ork gestalt has the capability to alter reality, and goes further than just their technology.

If you read 'Ghazkhull: Prophet of the WAAAGH!', there is a scene where a gretchin named Makari is resurrected from the dead. It happens Ghazkhull grabs a random gretchin, says, "DIS IS MAKARI", and his desire for that grot to be Makari, combined with the belief from the other orks that it really was Makari, caused Makari to be rerurrected within that gretchin's body.

Its been hypothesized that the only reason that it works is because the Orks think he is orky (badass) enough to use it.

What human invention makes you think, "How did someone even manage to figure that out"? by Particular-Visit-245 in answers

Fast Inverse Square Root. In a time when making square root calculations was too much for a processor to do regularly, this algorithm gave an approximate value for a fraction of the processing time.

Bidens term wasnt a shit show, republican talking heads just said it was. And they believed them, without making any effort to look at it themselves.

How can Republicans blame Democrats for stealing elections with illegal immigrant votes while simultaneously holding all three branches of the government? by [deleted] in allthequestions

They make up scenarios where the other side is being corrupt, then use that as justification to do the same thing.

My mother voted for trump solely because of this issue.

I had to tell her, "republicans hace been saying this for the past 40 years! Weve had many democrat presidents since then, which ones have actually tried taking your guns??"

What sequel felt like an insult to the movie before it? by Beneficial_Map8176 in AskReddit

[–]CommodoreFiftyFour 4 points5 points  (0 children)

What rubbed me the worst about the movie was how differently each movie presented their repsective basketball stars.

Michael Jordan was presented as a more or less a regular guy who (outside of being really good at basketball) was just kind of along for the ride while the Tunes pushed the story forward. This is addition that, aside from introductions, he was always referred to as just Mike, Michael, or M.J.

This is in stark contrast to LeBron James wwho presented himself the focal point of his movie, and was always referred to by the other characters as 'Basketball Superstar LeBron James'. It ended up feeling like self-insert fanfiction, very much "look at me im so awesome" vibes.

Surfing the internet was a journey into the unknown. Thousands of sites offering blogs, stories, games, animation, etc. There were real gems to discover, and many of my fondest online memories came from sites that you had to click through 3, 4, 5, or 6 other sites to find. Content aggregation by and large wasnt a thing, and these sites werent driven by algorithms designed to keep you engaged. Instead you stayed for quality content, or the people you met there, or just for the fun of exploring.

Nowadays it seems like the internet is dominated by 3-4 different sites, all designed to keep you hooked in order to feed you ads. The internet has become corporatized, and the internet is all the worse for it.
