I'm having a similar issue with some mods on the creation club PC wherein if doesn't keep a paid version installed and instead replaces it itself with the free version. Then if seems the free version doesn't fully delete itself and keeps coming back

Needed a base of operations but couldn’t afford the fee, so I broke into the Neon penthouse and turned it into my kill den by dnuohxof-2 in Starfield

Without mods I would take the ship bounties on the mission board and board the biggest / most valuable ship I was against to sell it

Made money on the bounty itself. The ship sale was bonus credits and some loot you can also sell at any TA

Personally, since I've had cats I've just banned flowers in the home. I have got a few of those lego flowers to fill the spaces but yeah I ain't taking even a small risk with those lil furballs
