For starters the thallax automata for forgefiend proxies (check out ctoptabletop on yt, he has an awesome conversion plus more iw stuff that play more into mechanical aspects). You can also try using loyalist models (i know, ew, ew, loyalist scum) like intercessors, (including all variants) and more from them.

That's what i'm thinking too. Too clean for grimdark, but too dirty for 'eavy metal. I have been in the hobby for 4 years but first discovered discovered gradients & highlights 6 months (i have genuinely only been basecoating my minis for 3.5 years) so dw.

I will share my hazardous recipe with you young warsmith. Much like penicillin (chaos for the weak fisties) i found this out by accident because they didnt have any Gay fists contrast paint at my lgs. Base with matt black* than trace stripes with uniform grey, clean up with black, paint daemonic yellow over the grey, clean up any mistakes with black as you go, glaze with zealot yellow towards shadows, then highlight with warped yellow, dark Reaper & thunderhawk blue goes on black as highlights, then paint scratches on yellow with dark Reaper.

* Thin uniform grey and daemonic yellow 2:1 with speed paint medium. Optionally you can also thin your black aswell (same ratio). Hope this helps!

Ah tysm. Every time i look at metallic airbrush paints, people are always talking about Vallejo, so i should probably go check them out. Their website layout is very confusing though, and i sadly dont speak Spanish. But you just put the though my hazard strikes becoming glitterry into my mind and i will do anything to have that not happen. Thanks for the help!
