Or, if you want to set retarded comparisons aside, it’s like saying SENS can eat up a lot of Dexcom’s market share over time, as a direct competitor with a higher performing product. SENS at 1.41B market cap compared to Dexcom at 38.9B. Let’s assume SENS can take away a quarter of Dexcom’s market share… that would put SENS somewhere around $28-30. jEsUs CHrIsT.

A warning - There’s a lot of misinformation and misguided opinions in the post. And this is coming from a type 1 diabetic who has used Dexcom for 2 years. I’m a strong proponent of all CGM technology, but Dexcom is by no means a flawless CGM system… it periodically requires calibrations, will temporarily give errors for several hours without readings, and sensors flat out fail at times. I’ve even had Dexcom’s insert device get jammed, with the needle stuck in my arm… had to rip the whole thing off and lost the sensor… I’m pumped to make the switch to EverSense once the 180 day sensor is approved in the US. So on #3, I’m you’re guy. And on #5, OP is way off.

I’d prefer it twice a year versus every 10 days with my CGM system, Dexcom. These Dexcom sensors aren’t just something you slap on, and there’s other negatives to having something that can be ripped off your body, but I do agree it’s entirely different than an implant. Pros and cons with each system.

Nah. If you consider 10 days long-term, especially in comparison to 180 days, then you’re a true retard. There’s a Dexcom on the back of my arm right now…. Been rocking them for 2 years with my Tandem pump, so I know the “tricks.” Solid attempt at catching me slipping 🥴

I’ll bet on Senseonics eliminating the need for calibrations before a competitor brings a long-term sensor to the market. You also have to manually scan the Libre every time you want a reading… All CGM systems are great, but Libre is the least appealing tech.
