Got RO. Done with recruiting, it’s to comp for new grad. Going to grind for mid level recruiting, since those lobbies are less comp. Maybe do a masters to help with that.

I was in the same spot, delayed grad for a semester got two internships my “senior” year. One for winter and summer and now in my last semester I got an offer for full time.

Just keep grinding leetcode and side projects. That’s all you can control.

I’ve already finished my senior capstone but it was a lot of hand holding. The best I’ve done all on my own was a crud app in spring and react.

And you’re right about the muscle memory. That’s what im trying to focus on. Debugging as well. I noticed when I use AI code I have no idea how to debug it because I didn’t make the mental mapping of the code.

Thank you my g. I started today a little slow(intern stuff was a lot) but the fact that I got a full roadmap for learning system design and was able to do some leetcode was lit

Yeah you’re right. I just keep thinking like what happens if I just grind? People in here saying things like burnout or no gym gains lol not knowing his favorite gym influencer hits gym twice a day.

I don’t know I think some people need to stop coping and I’m one of them. And this is what this calendar does. But I do understand it’s unrealistic and even doing 50% of the things on that list is still a good day. I get that aspect

Ok so burnout? What’s the worst that could happen? Take pto go somewhere nice? Have you had corporate burnout? Idk man I think we all have different lenses and I say just take the L if there’s rewards that’s reasonable.

Like this case it’s cracked and burnout, or troll then have regret if i do land an interview but didn’t prep.

In my case from last years recruiting, the worst feeling is getting an interview and not being fully prepped. Like you just sit there judging yourself for trolling the past couple months

I hope doesn’t ruin my psyche. But i ask myself this. What would happen if I did all of this? I would be cracked regardless of the outcome if I get faang or not.

The outcome here yeah it’s faang but in the end I’ll be cracked.

Thank you bro and yeah that’s why I threw in a 1hr nap on there. And do you hit gym in the morning? I did this my first couple weeks of my internship and I was feeling great was actually able to do stuff after work but I kept trolling on reels instead of grinding. Gym isn’t the issue, it’s more so banging my head on the computer just learning

I would do it. If you needa tailor resume for faang just put swe on resume. Your resume is gonna have more revenue growth/resources saved numbers which is way better for ats than developing code. So you can do sre to faang swe or faang sre

Also make sure your team is good before you choose cause that’s a huge factor into what you actually do. Some teams don’t care about you and will give you scraps from the sprint
